How to write in Tamil?

Hi to all,

Can anybody explain, how to write Tamil words when we type some tips/recipes or answer for a mail?

I saw Sridhar and Chitra use to do that but I dont know how we can do that?

Can you explain? Waiting for your answer.

Please download unicode font & you need unicode driver (e-kalappai).
Once you instal them, with a little practice, you can type in tamil.

AND SAVE IN UR FONT FOLDER IN YOUR SYSTEM CONTROL PANEL.

AND WHO EVER RECEIVE ALSO SHOULD DO THE SAME ABOVE PROCEDURE

SO THAT WHAT EVER YOU TYPE IN THE MAIL WITH THE HELP OF KEYBOARD BY USING AMUDAM FONTS. YOU CAN SEE TAMIL LETTERS .

hi Rama mani,

Its simple, click the link. It will download a software. Install it. Run it. An icon will come in the notification area (near the clock on ur Right hand side bottom). LEFT CLICK on it and click on UNICODE TAMIL and start typing. What ever u type will be in Tamil.

To go back to English again LEFT CLICK and click on NO KEYMAN KEYBOARD.

Hi Kitchuppa, krishnaamma, Chitra mam

I accessed the link and installed e-kalappai. I tried using the same. I have some queries though:

a) How to write 'I' i.e 9th vowel after ஏ?
b) How to write 'OU' i.e. 12th vowel after ஓ?
c) How to write 'nga' i.e. 2nd consonant after க்?
d) How to write 'na' i.e the na used in the tamil word for 'ball'?
e) How to write 'sri'?
f) How to write 'ksha' ?

I am planning to write a tamil invitation for my son's upcoming Upanayanam. So I am eager to learn the above. Any help from you would be appreciated.
