Hai Pari,
I have a 17 yearl old son who is studying in the twelveth . My husband works in shifts, so my routine is rather erratic.
usually, I get up by 4.45. I do the morning work like preparing coffee, breakfast and lunch for son etc. He leaves by 6.45. I then have a fruit and read the newpapers and also watch the tv simultaneously. By 7.30, I prepare breakfast for me, hubby and maid. maid comes by this time and so it becomes hectic till 8.30. Sometimes, I could not read paper and so after the maid leaves I read it. I have breakfast by 8 itself. Then it is IL time mostly, till 10. Then the preparations for lunch and other work, the TV will be running or the radio. After lunch at 1, it is nap time for 30 minutes on the divan itself. Then some work or other, going out to get vegs. or groceries etc.Tea by 4. Go for walk at 4.30 and come back in one hour.
Son comes by 6 so preparation for his snack etc. by 5.30. Then it is reading or watching tv till dinner time. After that, son will go to tuition and hubby to leep (if home). I watch tv, preparing for the next day's cooking etc.
I should devote more time to hobby( stitching and embroidery). I read a lot of books too.

Hi Pari
I have 4 kids at home. a 76 yrs old, a 73 yrs old, a 40 yrs old and a 5 yrs old.

I normally get up by 5 in the morning, mild exercise till 5.30. Bath. start cooking both lunch and tiffin. We normally have brunch i.e rice in the morning and tiffin in the evening. by 6.30 I have to wake up my daughter which is a struggle. after getting a mouthful from her, my hubby and I will carry her directly to the bathroom, finishes everything in a stretch and bring her back to the hall. By that time she will be fully awake. Its time to give coffee to everybody (ofcourse with compliments like 'what coffee is this' or do u forgot to buy sugar this month or filtercoffee is filter coffee. u r spoling the coffee with that coffeemaker etc). Prepare the lunch & snacks for my daughter. Feed her. By 8.20 she is ready to go to school. Thank god. Her school is just 2 mts walk from our home. By the time my hubby put all the cloths into the washing machine and maid has arrived. By 9 am I have to finish all my works and brunch. Since both of us r in business, one way it is better, we leave our home by 9.30. I will be back before 3 because I have to pick up my daughter from her school. By that time I will be half exhausted.
again morning routines, making coffee, tiffin, bathing my daughter, taking her to her dance class ( twice weekly) or playing hide & seek or shuttle cock etc (No indoor games )homework, feeding, cleaning the kitchen and atlast to bed by 9 pm. If I have to do paperworks and accounting I'll do it at that time. Some time I do that in the morings after 10 also. (my IL time too).

Varloo, I ENVY U for yr TV time and nap.

Regards
Uma

Hi Uma,
don't envy me, the grass looks greener on the other side. Sometimes I will be derpived of sleep so much, hubby will reach home at 12 and I will have to be awake because he would have forgotten to take the keys with him. Then get up at 4.30 or so with son. Sometimes it would be cooking the whole day, cleaning the whole day or outing the whole day. There is not a bit of order in my home. Come and stay with me for 3 days and you will know.

Hi Pari,

A very nice topic to discuss. I stay with my inlaws, hubby and daughter. The morning usually starts at about 5.30 am , preparing coffee, breakfast, lunch, getting the small one prepared to school . as am employeed she prefers taken care by me in the morning hours .....then i shall get ready by 8.00 am and leave to my office.

Since we have a maid she would assist washing clothes and brooming, back home at about 7.30 i shall help my daughter with her homework and prepare dinner , washing dishes, cleaning, etc......and would wait for my hubby to reach home . since his work is too time consuming he shall return quite late say around 11.00 or 12.00 midnight , back again i would prepare his dinner fresh .

I used to write poems , read books but now a days there is no time left for all these special mentions. everyday passes on thinking what to cook and what to do.......hmm

anyways it was nice answering ......Thanks for the same

hi a nice different topic.

before i used to get up around 6am and quickly make coffee breakfast and my husband and daughter together used to leave at about 7.30am-
both used to come home for lunch -so after relaxing a bit with newspapers- i love to do sudoku, crossword kakuro- it unwinds me! i prepare lunch-they coming have their lunch and again my daughter returns by 3.45 and id time permits i used to go for awake- and i have tuitions in the evening.
in between during free time, i used to do some craft work./fabric painting, glass painting etc.
but now i don't even go near my paints.as i'm working from home. i wake up very early work for 3 hours take a 2hr break to make breakfast and then again work for 4 hours. so after this i really need to sleep- sometimes i really think of taking a long break to do a tanjore painting. its my dream to make one.hope i realise this fast!

Hi Ramya,
if you are talented in arts, you can conduct classes from home and earn. Our member Honeytha is taking classes. Here there is demand for anything, it may take some time to pick up, that is all. Think it over. You can club up with any craft shop and conduct a workshop too.

hi friends,
my routine may seems very easy. This is only now. Till last year, I had been preparing notes, typing question papers (fill in etc.) for my son to learn. He was a slow learner and my time would be spent in preparing about how to teach him. Also. I shall have to drop him and pick him from school everyday, even though the school is near to home. Hubby would not budge even though he is free. Even now, I drop/pick him from school often though he goes in a van.
When your children are young, you need to give them all your time, it is a good investment. They will always remember the time we spent with them.
