Default how to repair gulab jamun ?

Hi all,
I made MTR gulab jamun, it has nice color and texture and everything, but one bit inside and i know it has not absorbed the sweetness inside.. Now, I am worried because I have only few hours tonight my guest arrives.. I want to know if there is a way to repair this situation..

Some thoughts
1. Make new hot syrup and dip the jamuns in that ?
2. Heat the current syrup on stove top?
3. Or try microwaving jamuns with new/old syrup ?
4. Cut the jamun into halves and dip them.. and probably serve them as cut jamuns ?

any innovative ideas or experienced 'repair' ideas.. please pour forth..

How about poking a few holes using a toothpick and then microwaving till warm and then soak in syrup?

My 2 cents..

Let me know how it turned up.
Also how about sprinkling some warm water (very lttle) before microwaving so that it would give a moist feel and help absorb the syrup better...

My 3rd cent..

Smile Re: how to repair gulab jamun ?

Hey smart soul.. you are really one smart soul

Your technique does seem to be working.. I microwaved one jamun for 10 s. Then poked holes. Then placed it in a really narrow tea cup ( so that jamun can be submerged to max possible extent) and poured 3 spoons of syrup.. This submerged the jamun to 3/4 th height. Then microwaved for 30 s and let it cool ( meanwhile, I am trying to get the usili ready for paruppu usili ) Then, I tasted the jamun.. it seems to have absorbed all essence.. it is sweet inside and improved..

Thanks so much.. I will sit and do this now, for each of those jamuns.. ( only I should not gobble them all up in the name of tasting and checking !)

Thanks so much ! Your help was really just in time !
Bless you !

Savitha
