sorakaya garabillalu
required quantity of
grated bottle gourd
chillies finely chopped
onions finely chopped
little bengal gram dal
curry leaves
nuvvulu
rice flour as much taken by the bottle gourd so as make a soft dough ball
salt as per the taste buds requirement
oil for frying
procedure:
it is very simple and easy to make
mix all the ingredients except oil and dnt use water ,u can just springle little if needed,because the bottle gourd itself has the water content.
now fry them and serve
hope u will enjoy them

soragaya custard
u need:
1/2 cup grated sorakaya
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/2 cup grated apple
1/2 cup mixed dry fruits
2 1/2 cups milk
sugar as per the requirement
custard powder 2 tbspns
2-3 spoons of ghee
procedure:
  1. boil milk and add the custard to it,bring it to the required consistency
  2. mean while add ghee in a pan and fry the grated bottle guard and carrot one after the other
  3. add this mixture to the custard and set it on heat for other 2 min
  4. let the whole thing cool
  5. add the apple to it,next the dry fruits
  6. refrigirate it and enjoy the custard
  7. if willing add jam a little,by thinning it on the top
  8. it tastes yummy

Hi Geetha,

all absolutely mouth-watering. esp the thattais, somasi (what filling inside?) and laddus. can you please share the somasi recipe? also may i request you to join us in Virtual Feast? It's under Miscellaneous recipes and we post whatever we make on a daily basis and also share recipes:)

MIXED VEG BONDA
u need:

minapappu+kandi pappu in equal quantities
pinch of soda
salt as required
oil for frying
veg - onions,beans, carrot ,cabbage,cauliflower,peas,chillies,coriander
all finely chopped

procedure
  • soak the two dals in different vessels for about an 1hr
  • grind them together and add salt ,soda
  • boil the veg cabbage,cauliflower,peas,beans,carrot little
  • now add all the veg including onions ,chillies,coriander
  • finally fry them and serve them
  • chutney is not necessary ,if u are willing it is good with tomato sauce also
check it and let me know the feed back

garijalu:
u need
  1. equal quantities of ground nut ,putnalu and coconut powderto this add equal amount of sugar(adjust to taste)
  2. add elaici poeder also to it about a small spoon

for the puris
  1. mix chapathi flour and maida equal quantities
  2. add a spoon or two of sooji rava to it for the crispyness
  3. add little oil and pinch of soda to it (optional)
  4. made the dough of puri consistency
procedure
  1. make small puri out of the dough
  2. put the filling
  3. close the corners with water by folding the puri into half
  4. cut the edges with the knife for a neat look or u can try folding the edges inside like a chain
  5. now fry them in oil
  6. they are ready to serve
  7. put the remaining in a air tight box

carrot maida sweet

u need
  • carrot boiled and mashed required quantity
  • maida amount that carrot pulp accepts
  • oil/ghee
  • sugar equal to the quantity of carrot and maida
  • vanila essence
  • pinch of soda
procedure

  • add the carrot pulp to maida
  • dnt add water,make the dough to chapathi dough consistency
  • add soda while mixing the flour
  • now make small patties of the dough
  • fry them in oil or ghee
  • mean while make single thread sugar syrup and add vanilla essence few drops
  • dissolve the fried patties into this
  • leave this for about 1/2 hr in the syrup,so that the patties become juicy
  • ummmmmmmmm at last enjoy them

veg sandwich

u need

for white sauce
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp maida
  • 1tsp butter
veg
  • tomatoes
  • corn
  • onions
  • boiled potato
  • boiled beans all these can be taken in 1/2 cup quantities,all sould be finely chopped
  • chillies as required
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • bread slices
  • butter
  • chilly sauce
  • tomato sauce
procedure
  1. make white sauce by dissolving maida and butter in boiling milk
  2. get the mixture to a thick cosistency(not too thick)
  3. now add all the veg one by one
  4. add pepper to this mixture
  5. cook this for 2 min
  6. take two bread slices one as base and other one as cover
  7. to the base spread butter and place a layer of this cooked veg ,add little chilly and tomato sauce and cover with other bread slice,add little butter on top of it
  8. put these sandwiches in a oven little the butter melts or is evenly hot
  9. other option is on stove top,toast on both the sides by adding little butter
  10. serve them now
