| So Tejudatla...You did manage to get your junnu recipe and tried and have even shared the recipe with us IL'ites! Good for you. When I first read about your query for Junnu here, I too remembered very vaguely about eating it as a child. I am now amazed that it is possible to make something similar here using the ingredients that are available. This is called perseverance! | Yes, Kamla I have been trying for this Junnu since we came to Canada. But never ever heard about the recipe that we can make in this way. I luv it very much since my childhood and I missed it a lot. EVen I am not pregnant I still have cravings for it. Finally I have no carvings for Junnu, I simply made it in easiest way within an hour n tried it . It was simply superb with the same taste n same color....... Thanks for such a sweet site Regards Teja |

| HI Teja, So U prepared your junnu....Congrats for that and finally u accomplished your goal. For me,in my childhood I have lot of good memories with Junnu. We used to have so many buffalos and making junnu is very natural in my home. My mother is very expert in it. I also tried junnu with China grass......something like grass type, last time my mother-in-law sent me. It came out very well,u just have to soak this china grass in milk then add jagary or sugar and pepper then steam it.Just like normal junnu making process. Regards Srilak. |
