Default Valarpom Thannambikai Seial - part 3

Dear friends,
Today's Varamalar of Dinamalar carries the third article in the Self-Motivation serial started by Varalotti.
Please go to
Dinamalar - Varamalar

The topic is
தரையைக் கூட்டிய உலோகத் தொழிற்சாலை வல்லுனர்

He says, once you make up your mind, there is nothing that you cannot achieve !

In tamil we say

முயற்சி திருவினையாக்கும்.

If we try to excel in any given job, applying ourselves heart and soul, the sky is the limit for us to reach !

I am sure, Varalotti is teaching us also a valuable life-lesson every week, in his inimitable style !

Love,
Chithra.

P S:
Sridhar, "kambasuthram" is a word more often used in Madurai side, as far as I know & I enjoyed it very much.
You are motivating me so intensely that I am scared, I may start writing articles - such is the power of your mighty words !! I hope and pray, you will not regret the same, some day !!

Dear Mr. Sridhar,
A nice one today too. The first thing when the paper came I did was I took out Varamalar and searched for your serial and read it. My husband was absolutely surprised by my act as I dont read newspapers in the morning. Such is the impact. Great story.

Dear Friends,
I wish to share with you the following from the F B s in Varamalar ( called இது உங்கள் இடம்), which has appeared this morning.

வரலொட்டி ரங்கசாமியின் " வளர்ப்போம் தன்னம்பிக்கையை..." முதல் வாரமே அழகான, அமைதியான நடையில் அற்புதப்படுத்திவிட்டது தன்னம்பிக்கையை !

Sridhar, please take it, that next only to your parents & Indhu, I am very proud of you.
Way to go, my dear friend !!
Love,
Chithra.

Dear sridhar,

though tamil is my mother tongue never had the opportunity of learning it. learnt a little during ragging in my college days, was asked to read all the bus routes written in tamil. so that day i thought if i can learn other language, i should learn to at least read. even today i can read but writing it is difficult. i can write few sentences.

but now i really thank all those seniors who motivated me to read.... otherwise would have missed the wonderful post of yours.

Maanam irundhal maargam undu.... today i am going to tell my children the story....maybe i will be able to write in a few days. motivation is the key.

love
shanthi.

Default Thanks Chithra!

Dear Chithra,

Thanks for posting my article in the forum. A writer's language is moulded by the idioms and expressions in the place where he grows up. I have heard my teacher use the expression kamba soothiram. Actually it referst to kamba raamayanam which is otherwise known as kamba chittiram or kamba soothiram.

Now Ramayana cannot be understood straight away. Or in other words it has more than what meets the eye. Kambar was able to bury all those meanings in the simple words he chose to express himself. It is an impossible job and as an acknowledgement for his efforts we say "kamba soothiram" is very difficult. And for everything else, "athu onnum kamba soothiram illai"

If a writer inspires you to read yes he is a good writer. But if he inspires you to write then he is a better writer. I am happy that I provide inspiration to you to write.

Thanks for posting this weeks article.
regards,
sridhar

Default Thanks Shanti!

Dear Shanti,
(Shanti is the name of my only sister. Writing to you brings back the memories of the wonderful time we spent together. She was here with her family yesterday for a get-to-gether and replying her namesake is therefore special to me)
Thanks for those kind words.

I am happy that you chose to read and write Tamil. Believe me Shanti you will never regret your wonderful decision. As Bharathi said,
யாமறிந்த மொழிகளிலே தமிழைப் போல் இனிதாவது எங்கும் காணோம்
I am happy and proud that you are going to narrate this story to your children.

May all of you be blessed. Go on with your Tamil reading and should you require any assistance feel free to write to me.
Love,
sridhar

Dear Sridhar,

Good one again. Ford was such a visionary. Hardwork is sure to be paid off sometime. I am definitely telling this story of success to my son Monish.
Here is a humble suggestion. This will be a very good article for the Hindu's young world and may be other kids books. I am sure many kids will benefit from the moral of this story and others.

Waiting for the next one,
Jothi.

Default Thanks Jothi!

Dear Jothi,

I love Henry Ford I because of his vision, his priorities in life and his sensible attitude towards business. For example he would never highly qualified, academically brilliant people. His reason: those people have already achieved in life and would like to rest a while in my company. But the school and college drop -outs would give anything to prove that they also can achieve something in life. Being in HR for donkeys years I would say that this policy guided me in my consultancy, in my hiring and my attitude towards the people I work with.

I am happy and proud to hear that Monish is going to hear all these stories through his mother. While reading them is one thing, hearing them through the loving words of one's mother is something very different. Monish is a lucky guy to have a mother like you. May he blessed.

I have written several times to HINDU about my writing something for the children. But their priorities are different. Or I have to grow a little more to match their stature.

Jothi, I missed out on your thread regarding your Dad's heart surgery and had posted in the Bonanza contest thread about that. Did you see that?
How is your father doing?

regards,
sridhar
