just some suggestions..

I am impressed at what I am seeing
just small suggestions for now for the d-r-o-w-n-i-n-g smiley ":" code isnt prefixed
so while using that word it might cause a problem
well that a minor thing i agree
and also i can say a small thing dat u can change it in seconds

and coming to the board m not happy
in spite of such simple skin
and simple smiles and restricting the avatars and not really heavy signatures
yet its taking lot of time for the page to load.....

And one big problem is the space dear
see on the left and right side lot of empty space..
try to go for a board which will occupy the whole screen rather like an ipb or vb or phpbb
something that many popular forums use

please give it an eye
m sure ppl are adjusting as its a female board looks like all are very patient till the page loads
but this has to improve
i worked on forums with even more heavier traffic and yet never it took so long inspite of the avatars and the heavy graphics they use

hope u will take it in a positive way and reply me back....

Hi Aparajitha , its a good observation about drowning . However the smilie uses capital D
for the word . And in general we do not begin a sentence with drowning word . so perhaps
we have not yet seen any such problem . And adding a : for use with the smilie should
not be a problem for the coding experts here

from above post, it appears that you have worked on the forums . does it mean that you
are a web programmer / web designer .. etc if so please suggest your ideas in detail
using the contact form . Thanks .

Thanks for coming forward with some suggestions. We are always open to suggestions and hence you see this forum for the same.

I guess I fixed the issue with the () smiley that you referred.

Regarding the board loading time, I think asides the factors you mentioned, you may agree it also depends on few more factors like the mods or hacks we have, client's internet connectivity and mainly their computer capability. I always access the site in 2 systems parallely - one loads like breeze, while the other takes its own time to load!!

However, if you have tips on improving the board loading time based on your experience with various boards and if you would like to share it, please send it to induslady@indusladies.com. I am all ears. If I haven't tried them yet on this site, I would be glad to try in order to give a better user experience to the members of this site.

Regarding the space on the left and right side of the forum, just to let you know we are using 'fixed width' in our forum pages to align with our header. We have not gone for 'fluid width', which changes with the screen resolution. I think it is less of vB or anyother forum software being used.
