Dear Induslady,
I have a suggestion to make...
Why can't we display a daily calender, letting us know of the religious happenings on that day..
or a month's calender like the Birthday one...mentioning the important festvities that take place on that particular month..
If this is already there in any of the subforums, please disregard it..

Hello Sriniketan & other partcipants in this thread,
The calendar we already have that displays Birthday's of members can also be used to update the other festivities and government holidays, etc.
But the Birthday's get updated in the calendar automatically for those members who provide their birth day information during registration or later in their User CP.
How to update or who will update the festivities promptly if we open up the calendar for the same? Not all members celebrate all the festivities. Needless to say our Indian Community has umpteen number of festivals celebrated by various sectors within the Indian religions!!
It will not be fair to update one festival and leave the other. It may only cause unnecessary politics, which IL as a community wants to avoid :)
If anyone of you have a better suggestion to handle this let us know.
