Default Open Hobbies, Arts and Crafts forum for contests

Dear Malathy, Jey and Laxmi

Members are actively participating in contests with good spirits and are rewarded with excellent gifts.

A large chunk of members who are dedicated to the forum "Hobbies, Arts and Crafts" do not get an opportunity to participate in these contests, they may not be good in writing but they excel in work which all of us cannot even dream of.

The question of promotion of their work does not arise here as indirectly everyone around is looking for attention, if not commercial value.

Posting about our achievements outside Indusladies.com in the site is also a way of "promoting our name or the work or advertising for free" and such threads spread merrily in the forums.

Then why should the contributors in the Hobbies Arts and Crats suffer silently.

Once in a year atleast, we should keep the forum open for nomination of best work!

I declare I have no personal gain whatsoever by giving this suggestion.

It is a suggestion and you have all the right to ignore it.

Thanking you.

Hi ,

I would like to put forth my views on what Malspie has suggested. In fact, I was thinking on the same lines and wanted to discuss with Malathy on the same issue once I completed the reorganization process. Thanks Malspie for taking the first step.

It would be a good idea to have some sort of contest in the Hobbies, Arts and Crafts forum. Having said that, i myself have some issues with the same. I am not sure what the end result would be. Will it cause some issues with the goodwill and harmony that is existing among the talented members once the contest and competition sets in.

Probably this needs to be discussed and well thought about.

Looking forward for inputs from other members,

Best Wishes,
Sushma

Hi Mals,

I too was thinking on these lines for some time that it will be nice to have a monthly contest for arts and crafts.
