Please allow us atleast to open attachements

Dear Moderator,

I have been a member since 2006. Now I am not allowed to send personal e-mails. OK that is fine.

But atleast allow us to open the attachments, which we are deprived from.

So far you can see in my Threads and post replies that I have only presented descent items.

Hope you consider my plea.

Dear all,

We restricted private messages and opening of attachments for members with less than 50 posts, mainly to keep away strollers/strangers accessing them. They register to get access to the attachments here and hardly participate in the community.

Moreover, some of our long time members here have connected so well with the community that they share their personal photos meeting members in various IL'ite meet-ups. We do not want such attachments to be viewed by the above mentioned strollers / strangers. This is for the safety of the community.

So the only best way we found to keep away strangers is to restrict some previleges for those with less than 50 posts.

If you really like connecting with this community, make your presence here mutally beneficial to you and to the community, it is very easy to participate and make 50 posts. Do not just be a silent reader, come and interact in the various discussions taking place here. You are sure to then get all required acccess.

Oh, i also feel that fixing criteria for viewing attachments or the other activities you have mentioned is a very good one, though, i am also in the same boat, not being able to view attachments,being a newIl'ite.I have been hooked to this site!!

Don't feel sad that you don't have access to attachments now. Your constant interaction and participation in the community will get you all accesses sooner.

I am also worried that I am also not allowed to open the attachments . Will try to reach the target of 50+ posts so that I could have access to the attachments.
