    Helllo Ladies..

Today I was trying to do the preliminary round of cleaning my silverware which I use daily for pooja..I dont have the peethambari powder so I tried with toothpaste....last time I tried with colgate and it came out ok...but this time I used crest and the silver ware are shining like new....just like the way they come out when we use hte peethambari powder..

As it is festival time coming...so thought of sharing this..as we all will be busy cleaning and shining our pooja ware.

Good tip srividhya... I have been using the liquid that I acquired in my India trip. Shall try crest toothpaste now. By the way, is it a plain white toothpaste or one with sparkles?

by the way easiest method is...clean Silver ware with SOS...soap pads or the powder (its cheaper) and you get it in Walmart or Dollar store and just very very easy no need to scrub for hours togehter

    Dear Sri Vidya
Is Indian colgate will give the same shining or which paste because I tried it is not shining. But my daughter use to tell (she is in CA, US) with tooth paste all her silvers shines. In india we do have pithambari but it is allergy to me. I have seen in some IL threads they said with cooking soda and viniger brass items gets shine but silver that even lakshmi and vinayager idol it is very difficult to make them shine and remove the black patches!!
