I was interested in gettin a sewing machine, but was wondering if it's a good investment.

I want to get into some kind of stiching activities & sure is handy with kids are around for fancy dress or pretend games.

If I do get, what features should I check for in a good model?

    Thanks

    Hi,
I got new USHA allure sewing machine. I got it from Hyderabad, Amerpet for Rs. 6750/-. They will provide 3 demo classes at home. One is completed for me. Machine looks nice for house hold purpouse. Not cheap delicate one, table top model having internal model. I am happy with that.

    Thanks,
    Preethi.

Does any one here have USHA Flora model?
I heard it has better features than it counterpart singer fashion maker and price is also less.

    Hi,

I am for Singer machines. For the past 7 years I'm using my singer machine and not having any problem at all. So I recommend SINGER.

    :cheers

    Raajshree,
My suggestion is not to buy flora but buy Usha -------Janome in which you get basic model which is called Allure, Flair, Stitch magic etc..........you can inquire in Usha showroom.
