    Hi,

I use electric gas at home... there is a steel bowl below the electric rod which is removable.. It has so much black stains in that.. I generally soak in water with soap for sometime and scrub it.. How much ever I rub it hard still the stains are not fully gone.. Need help in removing it.. It is a practice in US to clean the stove before the leaving the house otherwise we will be charged heavily for it..

    Thanks in advance..

    Hi,

don't rub too much. Just dissolve the part which you want to clean in the solution of half cup warm water, half cup vinegar and 2 table spoon baking soda. After an hour clean it easily.

Try it and share your experience.

Get Dawn Power Dissolver in the blue pump bottle and spray those and let it sit for a couple hours and then clean them. Repeat if necessary. You can also just buy new ones and save yourself some time.

Buy new ones, they for 3-4 dollars ! And next time onwards, as soon as you cook, let them cool off and take them out that very night and wash it ! In my previous house I dint know abt that but now on I wash them immediately, its been 6 months in the new house but they are still sparkling clean ! (Sometime tea boils over or curry splases are there in it, use the other burners, dont cook when there is something stuck to it, if you do they wont come off easily after that)

ps:Tashidelek2002 thanx for those amazing tips on how to keep the underside of the pots and pans clean !! I am doing that now ! :)

Some folks put aluminum foil over those burner pans and then toss out the foil when it is soiled. Using quick release foil you can easily sponge those off. I think the new burner pans also come in nonstick...another good idea.

    Weasly: glad it helped.
