The win was a glorious one..
I just wanted to share some titbits from Chennai,what happened when the match was in progress..
Ideal time in India right? 5.30 pm. The sad part was not everybody could watch the game cos it was telecast by
ESPN and
Star Cricket,so majority of the cricket enthusiasts had to be satisfied with scores appearing at the bottom of the screen in other channels.
Some of the IT firms had made arrangements for the match to be telecast in their canteens/cafeteria on LCD.They had made good seating arrangements too .
Electronic showrooms like Viveks and Vasanth & Co were overcrowded with spectators eagerly jumping over each other's heads to catch a glimpse of the game in progress.
Need I specify about the congested roads?
The cheering was at its peak everytime there was a boundary by Team india and all the more when pakistan wickets fell in succession.It was a mini deepavali after the match.
In short it was "
Chennaiyil thiruvizha".Thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
