Default my funny (?) experience

Dear Friends
I want to share a funny (?) experience happened to me.

About 10 days ago, I saw a young man in his twenties, wearing the costume of
Anjaneya Swami and begging in the market. I asked him, why don’t you go to some work instead of begging? He answered me the usual ‘nobody is giving me work’. Since I’m in housekeeping business and always in need of manpower, I offered him job in one of my projects. He left me immediately and after 10 minutes he came back. ‘Madam, I’m ready. But I have to pay the rent of this costume. Give me just 10 Rupees. I’ve already got 10 rupees. So that I can pay the rent for the costume and return it’ – he told me. I gave him 10 rupees. I gave him the address of the work place and I also informed the supervisor there also to expect the boy. I myself went there to find out if he is there. But he was not to be seen.

Yesterday, again I saw him in the same market area wearing the same costume.
The moment he saw me, came running to me, started crying. “Madam, my mother was very serious, so that I have to go to my native place. But I’m ready now. But I have to pay 200 rupees for this dress. Pls pay me at least 100 rupees. Definitely I will come back and work”. When I looked around, all the shop keepers were wearing a naughty smile; some of them were already started laughing.

Just like that I walked away. What else can I do?

Hi Uma,
Some people do not want to work hard and want to earn money in an easy way. But that young man did not realize that money will not help him for long time. I am sure one day he will repent for loosing the opportunity which one Maharaji (good hearted lady) offered. Keep up your good work!
