Have you ever been bored of being good to others!

hi everybody,

i just saw these words imprinted on a t-shirt saying "I want to be good, but i am bored". reading this my mind recollected all the goodness in me and the results of being good. some were really bitter and some were really sweet.

so ladies, "have you ever been bored of being good to others? share your views".

If I give it a sincere thought, it feels good to be good to others but yes it gets boring too....

Sure, when others don't want to notice our good intention ( whether it is intentionally or unintentially) and take us for a ride(thalaiyil molaga arraikurathu---grinding chillies on one's head ( this is the literal meaning)----which means taking things for granted).
I am experiencing a lot in this manner from my MIL's side and everybody blames me for that. Their expalanation to this is you are the one responsible for her behaviour. I don't think so. It is her attitude which does that and not me. Poor me:icon_frown: Maybe me being good made her worse?

I would be interested in what you mean by being good to others. Does it mean:

Never being rude - always nice to everyone (Yes that's boring)
Helping some when they really need you -that's never boring.

So it's all about your individual perspective around what goodness means to you. Don't you think???

I feel you still need to be good. After all even if people take advantage, even if they are nasty... it's only bad for them. Law of Karma - Thou shall reap the seed they sow.

Take it cool. Ask yourself to what extent you can you should be good and when people exceed their limits, smile and say to yourself "That's it, they deserve no more" and don't bother to respond. If people annoy you and get on your nerves when u r trying to be good - just switch to silence... that annoys people the most.

I'm very short tempered and when people are nasty to me when I'm good, I used to be very frank but it only hurt as people always manipulate. Now I've started being silent - no comments - it just annoys them .. I kind of enjoy it.

you have given a good thought or its your real opinion of being good.

i mean being good is generally the qualities in human being which we all consider good.

when i say its boring it never means that we should change rude. i concentrate more on the results of being good.
