Default Words we stopped and enjoyed?

As we go about our lives, we often come across phrases or sentences that impress us enough that we stop and take notice. We find them everywhere...in the wall hanging in our doctor’s office, in a newspaper advertisement or even in the T-shirt of a passerby!

Let's all share such phrases…those that made us laugh, think and sometimes even cry! As we share them, lets also share where we found them. Adding the situation to the message makes others enjoy it even more.

1..2..3..go!

Here is mine...

Some time ago, I visited a client in the UK. I found the following wall hanging in the office cube of my client's secretary.

"A lack of planning on your part, does not justify an emergency on my part!"

Default Miracles!

I went to a saloon a few days ago and was placing all sorts of demands on the hair dresser as to how my hair should look.

After a few minutes, my eyes wandered to a small poster on her mirror..
"Miracles happen in heaven, not in the hairdresser's chair".

After seeing that, I just shut up for the rest of my time :)

I think I saw this in the movie 'Indecent Proposal'
"If you love something set it free. If it comes back to you after it no longer has to, then it's yours. Else it has never been yours right from the beginning."

Default In my office!

Hello all,

I used to have this phrase in my office while I was working back in India.

"Everyone brings joy to this office...
Some when they enter;
Others when they leave!"

I remember reading it in a lawyer's office. But I thought it suits any office that has business dealing with customers/suppliers.

I worked in the IT department, the service side of business, where customers either came with last minute requirements or screaming for delays at our end. So, I thought this was suttle way of telling them be nice to me and don't bother me.

To my surprise, anyone who entered my office seeing the phrase for the first time never went without asking to which category they do belong?'.

I always answered, decide it yourself and don't ask me!

Red face

I have come across this one many times. I am sure many of u would have too.

The world is like a mirror, if u face it smiling, it smiles right back.

Some other quotes which have touched me go like this:

You don't stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop laughing......

Its not how much we do, but how much love we put into doing it.

Never claim as a right what you can ask as a favor.

Default words I love to remember..

Once my friend sent me a cake with this note..

GOD GIVES US THE INGREDIENTS FOR OUR DAILY BREAD, BUT HE EXPECTS US TO DO THE BAKING...HE GAVE THE INGREDIENT OF LOVE AND I BAKED THIS FOR YOU...!!

I can never ever forget that sentimental gesture...

Default Never..

I took a business issue to my boss and told him that the situation looks pretty grim. He smiled and told me to remember ...

"Things are never as bad as it appears and
Things are never as good as it appears!"

The point he was trying to get across was that never panic when things appear bad. It is a lot better than you think it is. At the same time, never go over board when things are going well. The situation is not as rosy as it appears.
