My memorable events till now

My first memorable event is when I was six years old my father lost his hotel.
So he could not put us in school. At that time we were staying in Hyderabad.
Our neighbour was a South Indian. Neighbour Aunty had two daughters who were studying in Convent School. So she with great difficulty put us in Convent School that too without fees.

Next was when I was studying in VI Std my teacher requested the class students
to contribute for my school dress and all the students contributed and got me a School dress.

Next when I got a Gujrathi friend in 1957 when I was studying in VII.Std. We both studied together till X Std. and we used to study together Daily from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m we used to study together.I used to go in her Car to School. For one hour study and next hour play games. We used to play Scrabble. She was very rich but never used to show off. She used to help me in many ways. After finishing School with her help I studied typing. Till now we are best friends.

Next is when I was working in Office I was promoted from Typist to Stenographer with the help of my boss. Later also because of our Financial Director only I was promoted as Senior Assistant. I was given the responsibility of Bank Reconciliation of the whole company.

What I am today is becos of the Aunty who put me in School so that I can get educated. my friend who helped me in everything and my two bosses who helped me to get promotion. These people I can never forget in life.

I think I should have given the title as people who were helped me in my life.

I have many surprises in my life.
The most surprising event is my marriage- imagine getting married to a PHD boy who didn't want anything. He met the entire expense of the marriage- being Register marriage it was RS5/-
He took a flat in leave and licence. No expenditure was met by me.

I thank that Maharashtrian girl who was his colleague. The proposal came through her. Even now I can't think of those days.

When I came to Goa I got job in 2 days. Boss told me find a solution for my 2months old baby before I join. I was asked to join with retrospective effect.

If we have God's blessings things happen which we will have no words to thank HIM. kanaka
