Default Power of the Eye..

Dear friends,
You may wonder what I am going to 'talk' about...in relation to the power of the eyes..
This article has nothing to do with any medical reports or suggestions...
this has nothing to do with one more addition to my face...( Ear-rings, the nose-ring..and now the pair of glasses which always adorns the 40+ crowd..which is also a sign of the aged-hero or heroine, in the movies...

I am 'talking' about the message that 'one glance' of the eye brings...

You know this kind of sign language was from early as 'Thretha Yuga' where Lord Rama sees Sita when he was in Mithila..there is a famous line in Kamba Ramayanam...'Annalum nokinaan, avalum nokinaal' (He saw and she also saw...this is the transliteration for that line)

In this century, the great poet Bharathiyaar mentions about the 'power of the sight' from the lover (in this context it is a female) will make the guys look at the mountains as the mustard seeds....they will also bend the sky...and so on...

There are lot of cine songs too in this context...one of them is...
..'paarvai onrae podhumae, pallayiram sol vaenduma..(One glance is enough, what is the need for thousands of words) how true....do you agree with that line....

My mom used to tell me to keep quiet, or not to do something, or to point out anything, which can be called as 'she talked to me through her eye-language( of course when others are around)...for others it is like controlling...but for me, I just love to learn that art....
I learned it or shall I say that I got that gene from her?
You know my mil also used that eye-language...
Now the lineage did not stop here....my eldest one...does the same and 'controls' her siblings...that is in our context...

How many of you speak through your eyes?????

Dear Sri,

A nice topic to refresh us.

Yes eyes plays an important role in communication. One look can make the sweet heart to need more and on look can discipline the kids. I can make out from my dd's eyes whether she was upto some mischief or she is pulling a fast one.

As brindha says she talks with her eyes is very much understood dear Brindh............ With big beautiful eyes, what all you can say to dh............ can be visualised and understood ma......... no need to tell them right......

Brinda,
How nice...talking to your hubby through the eyes...and the good part is that he is able to understand..that means, you are talking to him only through your eyes...
Expressive eyes....do you know how to dance or have you learned it before...
(kannum kannum kalandhu ....) When eyes and eyes meet...

My DH will not notice me at all, when he goes out with me or if some guests are in the house....no use of that language here ...you know what he is changing....nowadays...
I remember the song you had quoted which gives importance to females, isn't it!

Dear Sriniketan,

Eyes are the most expressive part of our body. They are most powerful nonverbal communicator. All most each and every one of us do master this art of expression.

For people who have taken acting as their profession, the eyes are boon to them by God. The eye contact helps them connect with their audience on a personal level and thus become fans.

The only phenomenon to be taken care of is the proximity. The closer you are, the more immediate you are to understand and admire people.

These are some of the eye contacts that we come across every day -

Approval - Just a nod with your eyes
Confusion - Your eyes give foldings on the forehead
Excitement - Your cheeks bulge along with your eyes
Hostility - Your whole face transmit the expression of your eyes
Frustration - Your eyes look down sadly

Though our tongue tries to utter a lie, our eyes always speak the truth. Can I say EYES are definitely powerful as they second our inner mind (conscious)?

I felt very nice to reply this thread. Good thought.
