Dear Nivedi,

Hope such instances are eye opener to many parents who are at their crossroads. Some are at loggerheads finding the situation a bit difficult to handle. I feel it is here the joint family might have played a crucial role in balancing the parents and their children. kanaka

Thanks Kanaka!

Mindian, Thanks a ton! It has been tough with inlaws pushing him around, and he is hating it! Hubby is handling the situation, but I am at a loss most days, coz I get home to a whole lot of complaints, like, ' He read, but only for an hour, he did comprehension but only for 30 mts., he did math, but just a page!!! Helppppp!
And on the other side, my son is getting rebellious to the extent, that a child who never used to argue is arguing saying that its his summer hols. and he wants a bit of relaxing things to do!!! I am just stressed out!

Dear Ank,

The son is 100% right. Being argumentative he wants all of you to see the writing on the wall. Let not the child be a victim of parental or grand parental immaturity. kanaka

Yesterday's editorial covered a critical comment by Karan Thapar. It was very sad to note the PM had no time to attend the crematio. The president of India too failed to attend which is very rediculous being the Head of the three forces!

Iam not surorised at the crisis the country faces in terms of less men in the Army navy or Air Force. kanaka
