The Lovable Heart..!!

Visalakshi stepped into her kitchen after finishing her morning poojas and prayers.. She planned the menu and started working on her morning chores...

She thought of Shobana..and walked to her room..Shobana was lying in her bed having sound sleep.. the tiredness of yesterday's work was still in her face.... but still she was lying like a pretty Rose..Visalakshi stared her for a minute covered her with the blanky and came back to kitchen...

She hurreid her cooking glacning the fast ticking clock... She was on half way of her work and Shobana peeped into the kitchen... Visalakshi. owed a beautiful smile and gave her the coffee She took her Coffee and moved to the living room for the morning news...

After completing her chores Visalakshi came to the living room and insisted Shobana to get ready soon..since its getting late... Shobana hugged Visalakshi and hurried to shower..Visalakshi..asked her to choose the office suit and started ironing it.. Shobana..came back and stared her ...Why are you doing all this ...??She said in a high voice....Visalakshi smiled and moved to the kitchen to get her lunch box.. Shobana ate her breakfast and took the lunch box and was about to leave..
Visalakshi..came faslty from the pooja room..she had the arati plate ..and some Jasmine flowers in her hand.. She kept the beautiful flowers in Shobana's hair..it was the moment Shobana's eyes moisted a bit...

She Hugged her Mother in law and left for her office...

Visalakshi.'s memories stepped back... Hardly five years rolled like 5 days..Her son Vishal and Shobana were married five years back..and they lived happily... Visalakshi loved her daughter in law and she always treated her like her daughter and also Shobana was a GEM of woman..but the happiness lasted for only one year.... Vishal..left these two ladies in the world alone and his soul rested...It was a flight crash.. which left mere vaccum in the life of these women..

Visalakshi... accepted all things that happened and consoled her daughter (dil)..and she doesnt like her daughter in law to follow the old rituals and old superstitions.. She said .."Shobana you be as you like Dont fear that the soceity will turn bad on you if you are not folowing the supersitions .
Shobana was overwhelmed by the true love of Visalakshi and denied to go with her parents when they asked her to come home...

Visalakshi sighed ..now her eyes were in tears thinking of those dreadful memories...
She know and she was confident that she will one day quest a new life for her daughter in law ..NO ..NO..Daughter......

Dear Brindha,

Excellent narration and a lovely story ! Really wish if these kind of bonds existed in every household.

Wonderful ending to the story...or should I say...begining..since Shobana's MIL...(mother) wanted to start a new chapter in life for her daughter.

I saw a movie on these lines--can't remember the title starring Rani Mkherjee ,Amitabh and Hema malini.

Hi Usha,

Even I thought of that movie..it is "Babul" starring Amitabh, Hemamalini,Rani Mukherjee and Salman Khan. In this movie, Salman would die in an accident. So, Amitabh will plan for remarriage for his DIL (he will consider her as his own daughter and do the "Kanyadaan" too!)

Nice narration of interesting relations between MIL and DIL. Such things are happening in real life also. Gone are those days " mamiyar udaichal ponkudam marumakal udiachal mann kudam".

I penned this keeping a wonderful relation between a MIL and DIL in mind .. Their is wide thought that MIL and DIl dont share a warming realtionship.... Just want to pen a different version of it..And practically too we can see such lovable hearts.. :)

I loved the message in that story and the loving MIL. I was reminded of a tamil movie where the MIL would support the marriage of her DIL with the hero after finding her son a ruthless fellow..

I would be happy if all DILs get such wonderful MILs err.. mothers..
