Dear Chitra, This blog created a big controversy at the other site, as it got featured, and a blogger took exception to that, and posted a nother blog, saying “ I am Incensed”.He meant that Thi s lousy blog of mine, propogates Child Labour, and should not have been featured. He got 900 hits and 70 comments, and I got 700 hits and 70 comments. You read the blog, did I anywhere mentuion that Child labour is good and cheap and one should keep children????? Some people just want publicity and what better than ride piggy back on Kamalji’s back.HAHA,I am popular as it is, so criticizing me makes more sense to thim. All his other 15 blogs or so that he has posted till now, the maximum, hits he has are 150. So Chitra sometimes Kamalji’s name helps eh ! You know, weh have to put the names of the workers, and their wages on the door of the office, and these Reps can check with the worker themselves what they are being paid. This is clear interference I would say. And they always insist to see our contracters, whom we say are our factories, as they don’t give work if u say u are getting it done from someoneelse. Why do they bother what we do.You just look at the quality of the goods and the purchase price.Like they say :” Eat the mango, don’t bother about the tree from which it came from. And Chitra, when we give our garments for bead work, the contractor takes it home, and hiw wie distributes the garments among ladies in the locality, with the threads and the beads. Now in a house , u will hae the MIL.DIL, grandchildren, like girls who come from school, who do the work, and say by evening all of them have made 100 /- worth work, sitting at home, doing in their spare time. Now a child working at home , do u call that child labour ? Thanks for yr kind comments, I spoke from the viewpoint of the businessman. We don’t create childlabour at all, and they aer of no use in our factories as we need strong people to work to lift heavy cartoons. Regards.kamal |
