Hi Sharadha,

I am just curious as to how you dispose it in the beach...won't the authorities object to it..that too in Bahrain?

Since, we are not allowed to litter in the beach and the water...I am wondering how these plastic materials/covers can be thrown in the water?!

We can't even imagine of throwing things in the beach (except in the trash bins) over here !

Thanks for sharing your views...

Cheers
Krithika

Throwing the same in bins, makes me feel that i am committing a serious mistake and so opted for disposing this way.

Dear Jithiks,

I collect them & leave them in the local temple here.

What they do is upto them. The ones I receive by email, I save them if I like them else, I delete them.

Regards,

Corallux

Dear Kritika,

That is a great one that u have asked. How can we throw Gods in the dust bins.

Well how about the Grocery fellow, whoprinted the laxmi on the packet. Is he not giving away the Godess in thousands , should the trader be cursed ? No infact he makes money.

God is not in pictures or statues, he is within us.

Look at the marble statues of Gods sold in Jaipur for which it is famous. What we treat as God in our home, the shopkeeper who sold it to us, treats it like any other commodity like rice or sugar, and sells it.If he treats every statue as God, he will starve to death.

I feel God is inour hearts, not outside in all these rituals.

But then u are right too, u feel guilty as we all would to throw away the wrappers with God on them, its only atural, but what to do, we have to be practical.

Regards.kamal

Dear Krithika,

I second Kamalji. I full agree with himd. God is within us . By throwing these in lakes, ponds and beaches aren't we contributing to enviromental degradation. When we are all fighting against plastic then how can we dump the same in rivers.lakes or beaches?

Dear Krithika,
I agree with Kamalji on this. I dont think that throwing such wrappers or anything in the bin is a sin. God is within us. Even if you dont keep a single photo in your house but pray to God with your whole heart, you are close to God.

BTW, my question to all other ladies who say that they throw or dispose these wrappers and bags in the lake, beach, or water, Dont you think you are contaminating the water? I think it is a complete disrespect to the "God's" created nature. Think about it

Dear Krithika
It always bothered me when we recieve marrige invitaion cards or any such other invitation with print of Gods ( more beautiful & costly the card is more designed the photo of god ) on them mainly Ganesha & in newspapers specially during festival sesion like depawali & all filled with laxmi & ganesh .

"I did mention this thing once before also in one of my threads "Those nine days "
After few days these newspapers & cards are thrown in the dust bin because how long one can collect invittion cards .

Hi Mindian,

Looks like you are in the same predicament as many of us. And yes, we cannot dispose these in the water (lake, pond or beach) that would lead to contamination.

Thanks for sharing your views here...

Cheers

Dear Corallux,

Do you mean the grocery papers/bags are accepted by the temple? Of course the ones received my email ...we can delete them after a few days.

Thanks for sharing your views here...

Cheers
