Devika

Superb Post ! The issue of donors is indeed as Cheeniya wrote, one that needs serious discussion. Over 100,000 people die every year on the roads in India (India has 1% of the vehicles in the world and 10% of the road fatalities!) So organ donation assumes mamoth proportions

Lovely touching story that brings up such an important issue

Santosh
kudos Devika. Your mind is a classic

My Dear L Chechi,

I await your comments because I know now this will help me write my next post.

Thankyou so much for writing in. Glad you like all my titles. Is it Chechi?I never noticed!
Yes we need to spread a lot of awareness regarding this issue here. I am sure many are aware but then I guess not many actually go in for it, i mean donating.
Wouldnt it be wonderful to know that someday though you are dead your body still lives and your soul finds peace.
I love the name Nayana too.

Love,
Devikutty

Lovely choice of title........have always admired your titles !!

You have high lighted the significance of organ donation very well and brought

out the fact that even in the midst of tragic death the power to grant a better

quality of life to the living lies with us. We should definitely have more awareness

about this vital issue. for the important message you've conveyed through

this heart rending story. Nayana is a lovely name too.

warm regards
L chechi

Dear Krithika,

Thankyou so much for the wonderful FB dear. Its absolutely a pleasure to read such lovely words.

Youre right ,its very easy to ask God , Why??but we never say why not?

Having Faith helps us sail through tough times and if we really want we can even try to find something positive during the darkest phases of life.

I feel very strongly about eye donation. And wished to convey the same here.!

Devika

Especially, I loved this line..

Very true ! You've brought attention to Organ donation that can enhance the lives of others in need.

This is a remarkable piece that not only raises awareness but also makes one see the positive side of life even when the going gets tough.

Cheers
Krithika

Dear AC,

Thankyou for writing in! Glad you liked the story!

I am happy to know that you did not fall into the old pattern of thought that one mustn't donate any part of the body for the peace of soul. Infact i am sure your inlaws must have been happy to give sight to the 2. and their souls would have found true peace.
Yes awareness is slowly spreading but more need to be proactive about it.

Love,
Devika

Thank you for writing about an important subject.. a much needed one too.. It is my understanding that TamilNadu has promoted a lot of awareness for eye donations.. Both my inlaws who are no more had signed up for this. So as soon as they passed away this was the first thing performed in just a few hours.. We were also given a certificate to appreciate the donation.. During their lifetime my fatherinlaw advocated this to everyone he met.. reading this i thought of them.. for the grand gesture..
