Arrow Whom are we wishing a happy birtday?

An hour back one of the channels devoted more than 30mts on "Caller's reponse' to the girl who has been murdered. It appears to be the date of birth of the girl by name aarushi who has been murdered at Delhi/Noida somewhere.. To me it sounded like analysing the horoscope on the future prospects of a dead person. This is a translation of the saying"Chettu pona pullaikku jathakam parukkara mathiri".

There were many callers wishing the girl a happy birthday. Sorry I don't understand the logic behind the this. According to the reports the girl's father is suspected of committing the crime- Many channels are busy flashing the updates.

I can understand the ethics behind the reporting of a crime. But this has been made a public affair involving the people to get their reaction and people wishing on her birthday -- - - - -
Can anybody enlighten me on this way of handling news. kanaka

Dear Kanaka,

Yes this has been a very sad case.I knew the murderer from day one, but was scared to write about it.It was damn clear if u thought about it.All the clues were there.Only a doctor could have cut the necks that way and the father was a Doc.Then the servant body was discovered on the terrace.

Well i never understand , we celebrate the birthday of Gandhi, Nehru, who are no more.why ? And have national holdiays.Do we celebrate the birthdays of our parents and grandparents, who are no more.

I guess this only happens in India.Silly.Regards.kamal

Dear Kamalji,

I could not bear to stand these utter nonsense. Have we gone crazy to this extent. Seen from all angles it is very clear that there is a lot of 'gadbad' in the family. What I didn't like is the blow by blow narrationof each and every development of a family affair in some part of the country. Believe me somebody from Chennai sent his wishes on her birth day- a person whom she will never know ! It's really funny.. I only want to know whether her friends would cut the cake. Thanks for your opinion. Sometimes I feel I will be considered an odd person for expressing my displeasure on such matters. kanaka

Dear Kanaka,

I completely agree with you, The whole country is probably mourning one of the most horrendous crime ever heard of and to be celebrating the date of birth of somebody whose death we havent been able to come to terms with is very atrocious.

I agree Kanaka.

I feel it is just to gain a minute of fame on TV that people resort to these stunts.

A horrific murder. What makes it worse is that the victim's character is now being questioned by society. Hats off to the brave ladies who have come to her rescue.

Just because she cannot defend herself does not mean that society can throw mud on her ,

Regards,

Corallux
