Yeh to Under ke Baat Hai!!

Dont anyone of you think that i have suddenly turned religious.I am as bad as before.(Good guys are needed first by the lord, so they die early.)

I was having a nice cup of tea, and picked up the Hindustan Times of today 22^nd May, and what do I see on the front page , but this article.Couldnt help but smile.


RIGHTS BODY ENDS BRIEF DISCOMFORT

The States Human Rights Commission has allowed 200 employees of the famous Sabarimala Temple to wear normal clothes to work, instead of a Lungi or a dhoti, without underwear.


This was the problem.The Temple receives in Hundreds of crores donations from the disciples.They feared that some may be stolen by the employees who are trusted with the counting of the money, and jewellery.So they were forced by the temple authorities to just wear a lungi or a dhoti, with no undies, because they feared the employees could steal something by putting in their underwears.And they had to be topless too, the men I mean.


Now the temple autorities don’t like it.But they have been allowed to frisk the employees with metal detectors,body search, and Cameras too have been allowed


Im sure now the underwear manufacturers must be happy that more undies can be sold of theirs.They must have instigated the Human Rights fellows for sure.


Sabarimala and Hindi Actors -I talk of maybe 20 years back, when Rishi Kapoor and Jeetendra , close pals were followers of Sabaramala.It means 40 odd days of living a holy life, meaning , no drinks,no nonveg, no haircut and shave, and worst of all, sleeping on the floor away from yr wife, and abstaining from that .


Neetu ,Rishi's wife was the most unhappy in these 40 days.she says now he comes,wears his robes, eats food, and goes and sleeps on his cot on the floor.He dosnt talk anything, he has a bored look on his face.

In the other 320 days, he comes home, downs a few pegs fast, then opens up and talks of films and heriones,midnight they ate food, and they they proceeded to the bedroom.When Rishi Drank, she was cribbing he drank too much, and when he didnt she cribbed all the more, as he started to sleep seperately.Same was the case with Jeetendra and Shobha, the parents of Ekta Kapoor.

No wonder i dont abstain, i mean from drinks that is,otherwise blogs wont flow from my pen, sorry keyboard.


Coming to undies, USA is worse.A few years bac, there was a front page article inour newspapers saying “ 80% of Indian Women don’t wear Underwear”.God knows whom their research teams interviewed.It seems America wanted India to import their range of lingerie which was banned then, so this was what their research showed them.


DisneyWorld – This was a worse case than the Sabarimala one.Around 5 years back, the employees of DisneyWorld filed a suit against their owners, saying they be given their own pair of undies.It seems when they went to work, they had to wear the uniform of Disney World.That included the undies provided by DW.In the evenings they had to remove them , with the uniform and give it back to DW, who would then send the clothes and undies for Wash in Teir own laundries.And yesterday what A was wearing the undie,today B was wearing, and so on. Mix and Match actually.


Well some people got an itching disease, and they suspected that the undies were the carriers, and they pressed for their own undies, with names written on them, which was ultimately granted by the courts.This was cost cutting style,Disney World.Now we know how DW got rich .Tch Tch !


When we were small, we could not afford the VIP and other brands.We used to wear the stripes ones,the ones that comedians used to wear in the 60’s movies, who was it,Rajendranath I think.And they used to be horrible fitting really.Today I can proudly say that most men wear VIP, and Frenchie X.But the worst part of life is, unless u wear clothes like Superman, with the undies on top of yr suit, no one will be wiser of the amount of money u have spent on yr inners.Sad really.


And some Ads are so distasteful really.the Frenchie X, where the girl enters the room and sees the guy in the undies, and closes the door but from inside.Does she not have manners to knock before entering ? And was the guy leaving the door unlocked hoping a females comes in ? And that guy of the Mobile Shop Ad, running in nothings and then slowly they show him get clothed in parts, these ads are in bad taste.And why do they have to come when we are eating food, and my daughter is around at that time.


For such a small piece of cloth, I can never understand the high prices of lingerie, ladies or gents.No wonder they say “ Yeh to Under ke Baat Hai, sorry andar ki Baat Hai !

hilarious....so today the mood was UNDERWEARS...no one but u kamalji would connect sabarimala and underwear....never knew what the employees of sabarimala were going thru...thanks for enlightening me...really where do these ideas come from...yes i do remember rajendranath...famous for showing his striped underwear..comedy of those days...and these ads ARE funny...

Hi Kamalji,

I have been rolling in laughter . You have a unique style of picking a topic and filling it with humor.

I was taken aback when I saw the title. I thought - What has happened to Kamalji? Is he going to take up sanyas? I am amazed how many facts are hidden behind undies. The striped undies are still worn in Tamil movies. They never go out of fashion. Who knows one day a Calvin Klein or Gucci or Armani may simply introduce it in the West and get a patent over it.

Maybe those Disney people did not like the Disney supplied undies because they did not want mice (neither mickey nor minnie) in their pants ! That Sabrimala story was truly shocking. What if they had female employees ??????
