Default How will you react?

How will you react?

We went on a whirlwind tour to Bangalore and from there to Thanjavur and Srirangam. We left for Bangalore on 12th night to join our son who was going to Tanjavur and from there to Velankanni and Thirukarukavur to fulfill some vow. As there was no prior planning we were unable to get reservation on any class and got only Thathkal tickets in 3 tier sleeper. Even that also we got at different coaches.
On 15th night we (my hubby and myself) boarded Mysore- Mayiladuthurai express carrying 3 pieces of luggage. We were allotted the side window lower and upper berths. Four persons, three ladies and one young man were occupying our seats. We politely told them that those seats were allotted to us and that we wanted them to vacate the seats. They told us to go and sit some where else until they got down at Cantonment station. Again we told them politely that being senior citizens, carrying luggage, it was not possible for us to go in search of seats. Then they told again that they were coming from Mysore and would get down at Cantonment station. What will you do if you were in our situation?
We were in a fit of rage, but still kept our cool, but they did not move from there. Then we both got very angry and told them if they did not vacate the seat, we had no other alternative, but to call the TTE and report to him. At last they vacated the seats with grumpy and sullen faces.

When we kept our baggage and sat in our seats, suddenly I remembered Sridhar’s confrontation with an old couple who kept baggage at his and his wife’s side, when he recently traveled to Chennai and because of that we got the article “In a way I’m like super star.” I am not that capable to write a wonderful article based on the incident. But I would like to know, what will be your reaction?
We had a wonderful trip. We visited 10 of the 108 divya desams in and around Thanjavur and Srirangam apart from visiting Thanjai Peria Koil and Garba Rakshakambigai. At Srirangam we stayed for two days and both days we had darshan of Lord Rangantha during Vasantha Uthsavam and had darshan of Acharya Ramanuja’s Thaanaana Thirumeni. As a bonus we were lucky to have darshan of Lord Ranganatha with His glittering diamond Thiruvadikal.
Awaiting your response for the given situation,
Love,
PS

Hi Pushpavalli
I think if I was in that situation would have done the same thing as some people cannot understand the polite words, so for such people we need to give a kick on they back can't help it.
Great to know about your wonderful trip.

Pushpavalli Mam,

We cant change these kind of people. If we want to be decent with them they will treat like idiots and do whatever things they like.

So we should be harsh with these people. What to do???we change our attitude because of these kind of stupids.

Nice to hear that you visited the place which I like to go...........

Dear Pushpavalli Ma'am

What you did was absolutely right ... some people just dont understand ...

Great to know about your trip ... my grandparents went on one such tour recently and really enjoyed their stay at Srirangam, especially the Vasathothsavam. And as you rightly said, no one can be as descriptive as Varalotti Sir ... he is a superstar indeed! But your writing was very well written as well ... short and sweet!

Dear Pushpa Ma'am,

I'am extremely happy to hear that you got a chance to visit all the holy places.

But the other part was truely disgusting. I second Aruna Ma'am for the opinin that try to be polite first and if they do not deserve it act the other way. There is no other choice i guess.

It is my long time wish to visit the Garba Rakshakambigai Temple as i do not have kids.

Luv and regards..........
Divya.........

Dear Aruna,
Really it is aweful to deal with these kind of people.Even after seeing that we two old people standing before them,. they didn't relent. They were just aeguing with us without moving an inch. So we had to use the last asthram. thanks for sharing your opinion.
Love,

Dear Prana,
As you say, these people do not understand the language of decency. They force us to be harsh. At least if two of them would have got up to make room for us, it would have been fair. Thanks for your prompt response,
Love,
PS
