Adulterated Astrology ......

I too have heard of people deciding good time to bring out child to have good horoscope and all. They cannot force the child out before it is ready to be born no ? And when it becomes ready is only in god's hands.

I have no belief in jatakams and pariharams and all. We come with our Thalai Ezhutthu thats all ( Brahma- Lipi on forehead). Instead of meddling with birth time, doctors should strictly say, no Cesarian unless medically urgently necessary.

Hope you went through my earlier post where I tried to convey that "birth" time for a child is very different from " delivery" time.The gap between the two times could be nine months or more.

Hence opting for an early C- setion to get an astrologically perfect profile does not seem very relevant .

I agree that such operations must be decided upon in case of absolute medical neccessity or emergency only.However understand that some unscrupulous medical practitioners also add a commercial angle by recommendeing a c-section when one is really not necessary.

If we believe in astrology it is appropriate, I think, to ensure a good birth time for the child.

Having said that,

Based on my experience, I believe what is more relevant is that astrology is never perfect; forget perfect its only as good as any adhoc prediction. For questions such as "Whether you would get married or go abroad" an astrologer's prediction is as good as yours and mine. Its apt to be as frequently wrong as yours and mine will be.

The basic question is: whether man has control over his life or whether he has no control over his life (its brahmma, its fate, its astrology etc). If we start with the premise that we control our fate it does not really matter what the birth time of the child is. If we did not believe in the above premise and we believed that some one else up there is in charge, is there any point in making any decision in our lives?

ya i also accepted that many peoples believe astrology more than god.

i know there is proverb in tamil that is vidhiya kuda madhiyal vellamudiyum.

but mostly of the people not using it.

my suggest is surrender to god, and do ur duties with truthfully

everything will go fine. the lord almighty knows what is god and bad. depends on our previous birth karma. goods and bad will happen to us.

My father in law is an astrologer so he taught me . I am having basic knowledge about that. Astrologers write kundli (jadhagam )based on time, date, birth place and name.
Hindus calculate based upon solar system . but they have three types of almanac (panchakam) . so a kundli designed by a north indian may differ from the one designed by a south indian.second one is in one star they have 4 parts they call as bakam.if a kids birth time falls in third part, its a male baby means they adjust time. because male babies born only in second and fourth part they believe.. one more thing all the astrologers will say our past but few of them say future correctly .
if we predict the good time for birth means why orphans are there.why kids are in prison. its nature.

scientifically its proven that if a child is matured means it wont stay in mothers womb not even a fraction of second. so leave to god . let it happen by itself. I think this is enough

I would like These astrologers to read the horoscope of Bill Gates to find out when he was born, and tell us, so that we can get our kids also to be born on that day

So many kids are born on the same day, same time same seconds, their destinies are different.

Can the astrologer explain if the hutment fellow got a son at the same time as Dhirubhai Ambani got his son, same time same seconds, they will have the same money, and same lifespan ??????????

I just dont beleive int his bullshit, and by logic, this astrology is to fool people really.A few may be good, but majorityu are fraudsters, but people fall for them really.

I believe that astrology is a science. Just like astronomy, physiology, mathematics, this was a well - conceived science. But today, after all the mis calculations, manipulations and the commercialization around it, astrology has become vague and distant for us.

Our forefathers were brilliant and somethings researched and booked so much by them is not crap. No doubt todays version is very clogged and many astrologers get paid so much and so tell us only what we want to hear or only that will fetch them money.

Manipulating delivery time to get a good horoscope is BS!
It shd be a natural instance and horoscope shd be built around it!!

Dolorcosta, Please tell me what is birth time? the time of conceiving? Can it calculated? how?

Brindha : Not sure about others but I for once would not go for this option, if the reason were life and death issues I can understand. Then again I am not into astrology, I can see how some parents who are obsessed with astrology will do this, I believe in leaving some things up to the almighty.

I dont know whether its right to manipulate one's horoscope to acheive positive results.... like this more questions are flowing in my mind.. I can raise this query.. only to my dear IL 's (Where else i can ask...?)

Dear Brindha,
If only it was so easy to bring a baby into the world at the right time and day with the nakshatram of our choice. We do not reckon with a Higher Power that has already set in motion a chain of events resulting in one's entry into the world at the ordained moment! There is a school of thought that says that we have chosen where we will be born, who will be our parents and siblings, the kind of life we will lead, etc. In short, we are trying to rid ourselves of bad Karma and earn good Karma to reach the Collective Consciousness! OOPs, I'm waxing rather metaphysically here...
