Adulterated Astrology ......

Dear Brindha,


A very sensitive issue. Though I do not really agree with this entire practice but then the parents who believe in astrology as a guardian for the entire process of their life do manipulate it.Thats basically because they believe that every second that makes a difference can either be good or detrimental. Its very difficult to be judgemental and say this is right or wrong because I believe to each his own but yes I personally wouldnt do that. Thanks a lot Brindha for raising a very sensitive yet interesting issue here.

your title is apt.....it is indeed adulterated astrology....but when they are given the oppurtunity to decide the exact time one would naturally go for the most auspicious day and time and why not....but they are just kidding themselves...after all HE decides everything no?...maybe for momentory satisfaction...and a feeling of general wellbeing?

Thanx for stepping and giving a feedback...Actually nowdays.. many doc' even turn natural deliveries into C sections.... this is harsh reality...they are moslty money minded....
And so.. the people go for good days good time and good star.. this is what happening nowadys....

even i'm perplexed when some of my friends ask if we looked for the best star for my DD's birth...i had a normal delivery and i would swear that sadhayam is a good star only because my precious bundle was born under that star and not the other way round....it is really crazy trying to fix a star and auspicious time for birth like match fixing....like others have pointed out here too much of anything (astrology) is not good....but the anxious grandparents play a very important role in this..i have read kanaka's post about how a lady died trying to have a forced delivery at a particular time...hope the pregnant women and their hubbies put their foot down and say no to this dangerous practice....

i remember last year for chinese people was year of pig and they consider pig as luck...so many couples planned to deliver last year and 1 Oct is national day ...many chinese couples delivered specially on this day...i know one chinese doctor she was supposed to come to our appartment on 1 Oct but she didn't get any leave on that day....and this year is year of mouse, chinese people say mouse means money..i think many will plan money babies...
Yes, you said true many doctors are going for c section for normal deliveries too, money making business...this is the ony point where doctors can blackmail a family emotionally...

hey padma, my baby uma was born on the chinese new years day last year (year of pig)..as i went to the hospital at midnight, i saw the chinese neyyear celebrations like dragon dance, fireworks show etc on TV...that same day baby was born by natural delivery....i dint know that year of pig was lucky for baby birth...
