My dear Mindian,
Well here Iam to answer this question,who is my favourite in law.
My elder brother's wife.Her name is Madhuram.As her name suggets she is a sweet person,very fair,good looking.She and I are of the same age.We are very good friends.She acts the elder to me,ie she takes care of me.When we meet,we chat and chat and chat confide in each other and get along very well.
My youngest brother in law amnd his wife.Both of them are very friendly and treat me and my husband as thier parents.They give that respect.I particularly like his wife who is a very affectionate person.When there is a family function or a wedding, where many of us assemble,you should see the way she takes care of the elders,a blessed soul.
Iam very attached to my husband's youngest sister,who is also Mythili.She is Professor in Carnatic Music,a doctorate, but a very simple down to earth person.She treats me as her mother.When I visit her in Srirangam,even if I go and stand in her balcony,she comes with a chair,"Sit and watch,don't stand,"says she.
I am very fond of my brothers in law,since they are very attached to their eldest brother, my husband.My husband has to ring them for any jelp,they are there.
Blessed are those with good in laws and Iam particularly lucky to have wonderful,affectionate in laws.

Thanks for starting this thread ... My hubby has 4 sisters (1 elder and 3 younger), all are so kind with me ... All of them are elder to me but they still call me as 'Anni' ... But, as I am here, I couldn't speak with them very often ... I am happy to share about my favourite In-law here ... thanks once again ... Regards, Suni ...

my favorite in-law is my sil (manni - brother's wife). she has been a pillar in our family. she has manged so many tough times our family has gone through without the slightest hesitation and yet remains a jolly girl. we both are real thick friends and we can chat all night when we get together. she is a true blessing to our family.
my mil is also a very nice person. always ready to try new things and adjust to the ever changing life without any complaints. she supports me in any endeavour i do.

Nice change instead of simply grumbling about inlaws always ! So sweet to read about your SIL.
My favorite is also Sister-in-law, but here my husband's sister. She is very much elder to my husband and her daughter itself is only 5 years younger than me.
During our wedding, she used to be talking loud, ordering people and all i got very scared. But later i found she is a very frank and open hearted lady who likes to mix with people and always be friendly. Her voice only is loud,but she got a heart like ice-cream !

She treats my husband like kid, so she treats me like kid too. Gives me tips, advise etc. Always when she comes she will bring me some gift. And same when i visit her also. And when i was in hospital for one D&C, she only took care day and night.
Then like a mother she will also scold that i am not keeping kitchen cupboard properly . But i never mind because i know she is not wanting to be nasty to me. she will always praise me to other relatives about any new thing i do, like some new handicraft or recipe. I can talk anything to her, she will listen like good friend.
I think of her as my second mother.
