Dear AC,
A very thought provoking story.Few months back i read in a newspaper about a boy from a poor family who cleared the entrance exam with flying colours .He was working in a shop & the owner never knew he was a bright student.Seeing his performance in the entrance the shop owner promised to bear the expenses of his studies.Let such star students come up with flying colours..Once again, enjoyed your post.

love,
ammu

Dear Chitra,

superb and touching. You have very few teachers these days who have a human heart. Most of them, barring a few,are mercenary. But this is a very touching story of athe teacher and the student, both worthy humans.

I have seen, that the top rankers in all the board exams come from unknown schools and small towns. It is a fallacy that if u put yr chikld in the top of the line schools, he will get good education.I dont agree at all.

Good one Chitra,Regards.kamal

Dear AC, A good one. This somehow makes me remember the various discussions about all the Backward Caste/Scheduled Castes/Schedules Tribes (BC/SC/ST) reservations. There are still heated discussions about how Forward Castes (FC) students wouldn't get into good colleges since most of the seats were reserved for BC/SC/ST students. FC's are very frustrated by this since many of them were very bright but not rich like many of the BCs. They cannot get into good colleges by their caste or by their money.

I know I am talking about a whole different thing (which I might write in detail in future), but your write up brings back memories from my college days.

Dear Kamal
Thank you. I agree with you that it depends more on the student than the school. ! Where there is a will there is definetly a way:)

Ho Ho AC Chweetie!!

As Meena rightly said, I will only be answering all your leads each one tops the other.

Chweet, I have seen such cases in the corporate world too. The rich spoilt brat finish their MBA's and come to take a tip of the corporate world. They have no penchant for hardwork nor any enthusiam. They dress to kill and hang around in the leisure room and food court most of the time. They have no fear of losing their job. And Lo!! the management also takes a lenient view on them. The head honchos always stop to talk to them and wish them too. They are looked up with diginity and the middle class hands who give their time and dedication is tortured with late sittings, over loads, harrassment, performance threat and the ratings.

I have pondered on this issue and have come to my own conclusion, with jobs at stake for both the lower level and higher level today, may the honchos be friendly with these rich spoilt brats hanging around and reporting to them, with a dire hope of getting an opportunity to work for their organization!!! It is politics here and the middles leave with a bitter taste.

I still believe there is God and there is justice

Another mind blowing topic from my intelligent friend.

Love always

Dear AC
a good and neatly written stroy from you. It is quite true and an irony we can say that most of the studious students are poor or not that well enough to do in a very very good school. You might have heard this "sarasvathyum lakshmiyum onna irukka matta" and might have known also in kolu we keep vinayagar in between saraswathy and lakshmi! in many of the families it happens too. and some "pillayar" that is a sponsor is needed to put them together! A bright student can excell where ever he/she is which ever school he/she attends. so kannan also will definitely succeed!

love
geeth
