Loved the things you listed about what Moms say to their kids. In fact some of the things that one did not pay much heed to at that time now become so important and one starts following them religiously. I have experienced this so many times. Simple and basic things like - don't slouch, always sit and stand straight. Whenever I am working on my laptop for a long time, I remember this and immediately straighten my posture. So many little things like that that seemed so inconsequential then.
I am sure all of you had a wonderful Mother's day. I did too.

when we got our back bones from them how can we be without them all our life, it is simple just have the habit but please do not nag and go out of bound it hurts them now, but my mom used to say, azha azha solwaar thaimaar sirikka sirikka solvaar desaththaar, meaning when the mother is advising we would cry and cry, but the same thing will be told by outsiders with a chiding and sarcasm filled laughter so it is better to learn crying than gettting ridiculed..sunkan
