Wonderful Mals!

Kudos to your mom for being such a trendsetter and being so much ahead of her times. We all know that it is a rare trait in a person to live life beyond the rules of the society, let alone make rules of her own.

I can imagine that your Mom must be a great inspiration for you and your sister.

And like many have mentioned here, I too will say that you sure seem to be your Mommy's girl! You have that spark in you that I can now see is a legacy left by your Mom.

SS

Hey Mals,
Its a great write up, very touching and encouraging. Teaches us to lead the life to the fullest.
I admire all the mothers for their strength, patience, perseverance,...... and the list is endless, especially when it is about their kids.

I love my mom a lot.

Happy Mothers day.

Dear Mals,

A wonderful tribute to your mom..

I guessed, too, that you are writing about your mom. I like to read inspirational write-ups. It might be an emotional one from your part. But, I looked into it as inspirational.
She left her footprints not only to you but for all of us. Thanks for sharing.

Hi SS,

You have hit the bulls eye. She was way ahead of her times when woman would stand a step behind men. I also give full credit to my dad for he never stopped any of us from doing what we wanted to do. He was not at all orthodox, in fact he was more open than my mom and that is the reason he was very happy to get a spouse like her who was all set to soar high.

My Mom would be very happy to know that my friends in IL do see a mark of her in me and she has also mentioned this to me many times too.

Thanks SS, you have made my Sunday.

Hi Padija,

Thanks for writing in.

My mom has thought not only me but all woman out there how to live life and not waste a single day crying and moaning on spilt milks. I have never seen her shedding tears and lamenting all the time on the loss of her husband. I had asked her too many times, she would say, move ahead, move fast, however good or bad your last minute was, it is gone, you cannot change it, you cannot repair it, you cannot call it back. So why keep thinking about it. Just take the best memories and walk ahead, make life beautiful, make it worth living. I have learnt this lesson from her. Though I cannot get over her demise, but I am slowly moving ahead.
