Mithila Mam

It was a very touching story indeed..I did not fully understand the story initially but when you mentioned " Mami, please move a little,my son is coming towards me you see,he wants to put the garland on my photo, today is my srartham, you see " I was stunned... I could not proceed with the story for a few moments.. I should admit when I continued reading this I had a very strange feeling in my stomach and was almost in tears by the time I finished. I am taking a print out of this to show to my husband. You write so well.
After I finished reading your story I was thinking about my grandmother (mother's mother) only. Even though she has 5 sons no one except the last one was willing to take care of her. I was so shocked when my mother used to narrate the incidents of how my aunties used to torture her. I cannot believe how people can be so heartless. EVen today even though she stays with my uncle my mother visits her daily (for the last 10 years) and takes care of her. I just hope we realize people's worth while they are alive rather than carrying the guilt of neglecting them for our entire lifetime... there is no use of repenting once they are gone..

Your post made me how little patience & understanding can help us win the hearts and blessings of our parents..Now I will definitely think twice before complaining about my MIL to my hubby..( Though I dont do it often...) Thanks !

Dear Mithila,

You brought tears to my eyes.So true these days.We illtreat the edlers and after their death we spend so much on the pandits.

I have told my people, after i am gone, do nothing, if u can just play a video of me and remember me joyfully even for a minute, and thts enough.

Super Duper one.Regards.kamal

Dear Mrs. Mithila,

I still have tears in my eyes and a heavy heart. My mother always says that what is the point in doing things after a person's death than when they are alive and she lives by it...I hope to become a good person and not to ill treat not only in laws, but any elderly person.

Such a moving piece Mam, I still cant get over this. And yes, I should for the way you've written it too. No one else could've written it much better that u did.

Regards
Poornima.

Dear Kamalji,
Thank you for the comment.Iam happy you liked the story.
This thought was on my mind for a long time ,about doing grand srartham for parents, while they are alive nobody bothers about them.
Iam happy that I could write it .
