Default Do dreams mean anything?

Dear ILites,

My dad passed away exactly a month ago.

My neighbours say that their spirit should appear in your dreams in a week's time from their passing away. is it true?

No one in our family had any dreams of dad for the first 2 weeks. My dad loved my mom dearly. He didnt even appear in her dreams. so we were kind of mystified.

Last week, i dreamt that my dad was asking for us to get his kalash or some mud from his burial place from the native to our home. He implied that he couldnt come home to us till that is brought back. I got up and it was 2:30am. I didnt know wat to interpret of this dream. But we went to the native and brought back the kalash.

I also have been dreaming of finding money on the road. Twice, this dream appeared to me - not the same dream, different ones but in both the dreams i come across money lying in a wallet on the road, i pick it up and find money in it.

Does it mean something? Malspie, maybe you could shed some light?

Others, please share your thoughts.

Thanks a bunch,

JJ

Dreams and its Interpretations

Dear Jaya,

Dreams mean a lot.Dreams are signals of events that is going to happen. Though psychiatrists say it is the state of mind which reflects those shady images in our dreams, dream analysis have proved that dreams have always given a signal or hint of things that is going to happen. Even great scientists have dreamt about formulas rather than discovered it. They have implemented their dreams and later have become successul. Most of the times dreams are ignored or at times we tend to forget the sequences or the dream in whole.

Seeing dead people in dream is not a good sign, it is a sign of warning of the event that is going to happen or it also says change the path of your activities there is dead end to it.

If you constantly see someone very close to you in a dream, it is always said that the last rites have not been performed well, but it also says that the soul is near you guarding you all the time.

Check for the dreams list that i have given a link here. It is a thread I had started some months ago.

Hi Malspie,

I really don't know if dreams are just a reflection of our mind or they do give us some hint about the future. Many of my dreams are just convoluted thoughts of daily happenings but some dreams mystify me. 4 days after my son's birth I dreamed that the person in which his soul had inhabited in his previous birth wanted his soul back. I could clearly remember the face. Even now that dream scares me. When I was pregnant I had a lot of scary nightmares about ghost and ghouls in the 2nd month of my pregnancy. Those dreams then disappeared. Do they signify anything?

Thanks,
Kavya.
