| Hi friends, whenever I hear this old movie song or if it comes to my mind--- i used to think of the phrase, 'everything has a place and everything in its place'. That song is 'Paramasivan kazhuthil irundhu paambu keattadhu, garuda sowkkiyama'. ( The snake in Lord Parameshwara's neck asked about the welfare of Garuda) It is true that if that snake is somewhere around, he is sure to be a prey for Garuda. As the snake is in a comfortable position, he has no fear now... Applying this to our daily life... if the keys are in the same place where it supposed to be, there will no searching..same way with the other misplaced things. .. in the house, where the time is wasted on searching only, unhappiness and anger prevails if that object is not to be found at the correct time.. ![]() If everything is in its place, the place will be neat, no more yelling, stress in relieved and what not...only thing is, we should remember where we had kept the things when we keep it in order.. I used to remember an incident regarding, the 'hair' in the food. Eventhough they say that, we have a strong bond to that family, do we like that in our food..in our house. One day, when the husband was eating food, he found the hair. Upon commenting on that he said to his wife, 'if it found a place in your plait it will be more beautiful' But nowadays, as we use the dining table this problem has been solved to some extent, but still, if somebody gets, we shall ask whether it is black or white, if it is black, it might be anybody in the house, but if it is white, it must be definitely from me (white hair is peeping now) or my mil, if it is short it must be from my DH, what say? sriniketan

| Dear Srini, You do keep entertaining us and having us in splits. Reading your posts are therapeutic. Yes the hair in the food is one thing women are very scared of . But your method of judging to whom it belongs is very interesting. Your post reminded me of a story we had in school of an old man who ransacked his whole house in search of spectacles until at last someone showed him that it was resting happily on his head. Love, Devika

| Hi Sowparnika, Does this post triggered what you don;t want to remember, but it did, isn't it , maybe we won't repeat it another time...Me too did the same thing, lost the children's medical log in the doctor's office and when they called upon that, I answered, really, i think I have it.. I can imagine how they would have reacted in the office after me hearing that....my husband collected that from the office, that's another story... sriniketan

| Devika, you are generous in your words. I don't know whether for those praises I am eligible. Remembering the old man's glasses, there is another incident, where the umbrella is being held in our hands and search for it elsewhere... sriniketan

| Sriniketan I totally agree with you. In our house, I am an organization freak. It sure saves time knowing you can quickly retrieve things when you know where they are. I read in a book that talked about organization that a person should be able to retrieve any papers if needed in three minutres or so... My DH believes in storing everything on the computer....
