Arrow Even our eyes can betray!

Kannodu kan pathellam-----------Nijamalla!
An old man with a young man of 30years was travelling by train. Soon after boarding the train this young man rushed to get the window seat. The train moved. As the train moved the boy was a piece of entertaintment. Anything and everythung was excoting to him. The green fields, trees objects moving in opposite direction with the train moving forward thrilled him. Looking at this odd person the co-passengers secretly made fun of the man.

After sometime it started raining. He showed both he hands through the window to make his hands wet. A girl sitting near by was much troubled by this. Her dress was getting wet. She showed her displeasure. Immediately the other passengers shouted at the old man and said" Looks like your son is sick. Can't you admit this man for some treatment"?

The old man said"Infact he has just come out of the hospital but after a major surgery.
Since his birth he was blind. By God's grace he has been able to get his vision. Today he is able to see the surrounding to which he has born.

This news made some sad and some others were repenting for those rude words.
For them what they saw could not be belived.

This is only a translation of a Malayalam short story of Nithyan, our friend. I know the story must have lost its punch with my translation! kanaka

Hi Kanaka,

This story had already come under "Forwards and Messages" Forum long back and was much appreciated. Indeed a very nice story.

Dear Vanaja and all
The moment I read Vanaja's Fb saying this story has already appaered under'Forward and Messages my head started reeling. I immediately checked all my threads and posts. Such a thread doesn't appear. Perhaps may be someone else have written. Anyway I have not seen.

Vanaja lead me to that thread. I would like to tell the person who has written this thread that it is a mere coincidence. I mean no plagarism!

This was sent to us by our friend by name Nithyan who blogs in Malayalam web site. I feel ashamed that such a thing happened. Anyway A BIG APOLGY! kanaka

Dear Kanaka,

There is no need for an apology here. Repetitions occur as we are growing big as a family (IL). Many of the ilites concentrate only on certain forums. So those who have missed this under "Forwarded Messages & Jokes" would have read under "Snippets". Never mind.

I never mentioned that it was posted by you earlier. I just said that this post had already come under "F&J" forum.

But got to know that it was a story written by a Malayali Writer only through your post.

The link for the previous post under "F&J" Forum -

A touching story!!!

dear kanaka,

There is no need to feel bad .We all are friends here.So don't feel like that.In a big site like this it always happens. This site has so many repeated questions and repeated answers.

"30 year old son" by roopadadia in snippets of life is also the same.
