hi prabha,

I am indeed happy to know your feelings. Thanks for the comments. Yes, God always does miracles to show His presence, but we realize it late or never realize.

But next to tulsi my DH has kept one more plant "SEMI", i dont know what is that he says it is good to keep semi next to tulsi. Do you have any idea? I think this plant should be worshiped on every saturdays.
hi poonam,

Thanks for the reply. Good to know that you have Tulsi plant at home. No idea about the word "SEMI". May be if I see the plant I will be able to identify. Anyways I have PMed one of our members who is well versed in Gardening to clarify your doubt. Let us see. Meanwhile, if possible try to post a photograph of it.

Dear Vanaja,
Your write up was indeed great... I was so thrilled and touched..
God does act in mysterious ways..Our wish becomes his order or it can be told vice versa....I too love tulsi plant. My divine experience with Tulsi plant is:-
I planted a tulsi plant in a small pot and used to do pooja to it daily. For almost an year, i had wished for a Tulsi Maadam...Whenever i talk about it, my hubby wud say, this is enough....but i was not convinced. All of a sudden i got a call from my patti- in -law that she has ordered a tulsi maadam for me and wanted to gift me since she was overwhelmed by my devotion and dedication in doing pooja to tulsi.I have never told about my desire at all, but god did i suppose and i beleive it too.And 2 weeks before i got it ...Now i continue my pooja to Tulsi planted in maadam, which gives me immense pleasure.

Hi Vanaja
very nice write up.
reminds me of tulasi brindavan in my parent's old house.

here in botswana, I have a tulasi plant in a pot to which I pour water everyday but sometimes I forget due to rushing to office. but on weekends I do it without fail and I take 3 pradakshinas around it without fail..and put haldi and kumkum to the pot.
we do Tulasi vivaham also after diwali.
and u wont believe..it is given to us by one of our muslim friend when they were going back to India for good.

Hmmm...Love is God n god is love...so very apt.

You are very close to god and hence you are able see god in everything...thats wonderful.

I am just waiting for the work to get completed in our society so that i can get some tulsi plants...currently i have a couple of them but somehow they are not growing properly...maybe because of all the dust and pollution due to the exterior work.

Roopa.

Dear Vanaja,

You have rekindled my memories. When I got married and came to my inlaws place, the whole place was neatly cemented no scope for gardening. Only one tulsi plant was there, that also used to dry up even after watering. Slowly I got a gardener and start to put lot of plants and lot of opposition from dh as i was spending a lot. Then I got some more plants from my mom's place. Now, I have around 20 plants with Hibsicus, krish Tulasi, ordinary tulasi, chrysanthamum, kanakambaram, aralli, palm tree, karpura valli and the crowning glory is the Brahma Kamla or Night Queen......these are just to name a few. Not to forget the humble Aloe Vera.

Whenever i see new shoot coming up I am jo happy like a small child smiling at me and praising my efforts. Whenever I feel a little low I will be with my plants. I just enjoy seeing them so fresh and making me also feel fresh.
