Puni,

Yes i agree with u,ladies do a wonderful job and hats off to them. This was just a cheeky account.Well a lot of my friends do have this inferiority complex, that their wives will stop depending on them, so dont teach them driving, but take them around.

I dont know about those husbands who dont teach and dont take their wives, havnt come across, but these characters must be existing for sure.

Hats off to u Puni, for doing all that u do.Your hubby should be proud of u.Thanks and regards.kamal

Sri,

I personally feel all ladies, be it daughters or wives must learn driving.I encouraged my daughters and wife too to learn driving, how long can a man leave his work and take them around for mundane things at time.

Give everyone their freedo, and a Car, if finance and parking space permitting.I live in a bunglow where i can park 4 cars inside and at least 12 outside. But i have just 3,one for each of us.

Daughter takes car to college, wife yesterday took my Mom to Big Bazar for shopping, and i was at peace with the Indus ladies, blogging and commenting.

Imagine if i was to drive my wife around, there would be no Kamalji the blogger

Si its good u learned driving, and it must be a great feeling when u are in control of yr car, and can do so many things independently. Thanks and regards.kamal

Devika,

what i like about yr comments, is u took the blog sportingly. Some feel not so nice that i take the side of husbands agianst the wives. Not true.

Wives drive as well, if not better than husbands. All commit accidents, so it is true for both.In fact if u see cases of road rages, it is mainly the men who are involved.Women on the other hand are very patient.

When i want something, i know what i want.Suppose i want a black pant size 43 waist, thats it, and thats what i want. it disnt take me more than 10 mins to make my choice, try it and vamoose immediatly.I dont look elsewhere for whatever they are offering.

I tell my wife, make a list of things u want, and stick to it, buy quickly and zoom away. But i guess ladies will have their own style.Ad specially where clothes are concerned, well, they take ages to make a selection, and that bores me no end.

And i never ever tell my wife what to buy.she has to wear it,so let it be her choice, unlike a lot of my friends, who must have the final say in what she buys, which i find silly.Same way, i too dont like anybody telling me what to wear, i can take advise, but final decision is mine.

I would love to meet yr husband and exchange notes with him eh ! Does he drink sometimes ? Thanks and regards.kamal

Chitra,

HAHA.Bread tastes sweeter to u, fine.just ask the hubby for it.He would have smoked a pack of ciggies waiting outside. But part and parcel of life isnt it ?Everyone goes thru it i suppose.Trust Kamalji to make a blog of it.

Yesterday after i posted this piece, wife was curious to read it, so i let her read. And she was a bit annoyed, that some things are not as i wrote,i told her plain food is bland, dont we put some masalas to make it tasty and spicy, so i have added soem masala here to make it readable, and she was all smiles.Shes sweet and a good sport.

and i have told her when u blog, u can write all u acn about me,you can then take revenge, but i know she wont, bcs she hates blogs.and she thinks i waste my time on blogging. How do i make her understand how much fun is blogging. And then the interreation from the intelligent I Lites, and i have to keep up on my toes, and try to think good ideas to make blogs from.HAHA.

No offence meant to ladies please, i am pro women, i feel they are the best thing that happened to men.Regards.kamal

Meera,

Glad u liked my writing, if not the content.HAHA.no problems there with me.

My daughter got married two years back.We had to buy clothers for her, the wedding saree, the sangeet one, the pooja one etc etc.As did wife and younger daughter.

Swear i never ever went out once to shop with them.i gave them the money, and they had full liberty to buy what they wanted, and they were so excited telling me we have bought this and that.I knew all this was just for one occassion and then to dust in the cupboards, never to be worn again.Thats life.

I just went with a friend of mine and got stitched Two Full Suits, the regular colours of mine, black and navy blue.

They spents weeks in so many shops and designers, well not my cup of tea.i like all, i dont even know if this is new or old fashoined all look nice to me.

But they looked so nice in those clothes,so full credit to them for their choice.of course the purse was light, but then i am not going to take it up with me , will i ?A smile on their faces is worthj a light pocket ( But at times, not always)

Thanks and regards.kamal

Jhitiks,

thank u for yr views,we can always agree to disagree, right ! Im glad at least u like my style of writing.

I read about the stay at home Mom's.Yes,i agree surprisingly with yr views ont that.Mothers, their contribution to a marriage much much more than a husband, there too i agree 100%.

Now look at my take of marriage my way

1) A father;s contribution to the birth of a child is a few seconds. While a mother nurtures the child for 9 months, with so much care, and love, eating the right things, avoiding so many pleasant tasty things, so the child gets the proper nourishment. And the delivery pains, i know, i have seen my wife go theri them, terrible. And then feeding the child, getting out of shape, and then working hard to get into shape.

2) After becoming a mother, take care of child, hubby, house, coooking cleaning, and maybe working herself, i know and i respect women very much.Men dont even contribute 10 % to a marriage, it is the woman who is 90% partner in a marriage.

And then again What would the world be, without women ! We men cant wear jewellery, or wear fancy sarees , can we .Thats all for u, and the world's economy runs after women's purchases.

so hats off to women.I wrote this tongue in cheek as they say, what i have said above are my genuine feelings about women.

It is the women who leave their homes to go to live with a strange man called their husband, and make friends with his side of relatives, MIL,SIL,BIL and others.

She has to change her total identity, all her 3 names.

Just tell a man, he has to leave his family and go live with his inlaws for ever, and change all his 3 names, to give birth to a child from his tummy, and then we will know what a woman goes thru.

Dont u worry, i never take offence, this is a forum for exchanging ideas and views, but unfortunately here i agree with all u say, though i may have written otherwise.

Thanks and regards.kamal

Hi Kamalji
Have you written this for guys or for the ladies.............just wondering
Another nice one........good to see so many replies already here just one day I was not in IL yesterday and already it is full so now a days you are having more fans Kamalji.
Ok coming to the topic ...............to tell you the truth now a days not enjoying my shopping at all as my DDH has become a chauffer here. He has no choice but to be one..............hahahaha
But when ever has to go for shopping he gives limited time I have only this much time so please finish within that time...............I am always.............
Oh this is a torture to me not able to do good shopping and all but now he sits quite............but still I am missing shopping. It is so handy for the ladies to learn driving so that we can go out whenever we want. Here I don't drive..... becoz it is worst then India very horrible and dangerous too............just hoping in another few months time I will gain more confidence and start driving.

And Padma that was a super asked question...............Now Kamalji why are you not answering do you pay for the housedold work done by the ladies of the house???????????
