Maine Pyaar Kiya

Ravindra Jain was gifted. One thing I adored about him was he used to judge Sa re ga ma on Zee sometimes,he used to come up with beautiful poems . He used to make four liners about contestants in Sa re ...about the program, just like that on the spot.

People without vision are much much more gifted.His favourite singer was Hemlata.He gave music in not so popular movies,but one can never forget his songs in Ram Teri,Chitchor, Henna,Dulhan wahi jo piya man bhaaye,Saawan ko aane do,Sunaina,Chor machaye Shor,,.,.....

I think you had started this was a blog about Rajshri Pictures ......I just drifted from that to Ravindra Jain's music.... sorry about that Kamalji.

You are not off the topic.We are in the seventies and eighties.Yes RJ was too good.And yes the name of Hemlata i forgot good u reminded me.

Dulhan Wahi jo piya man bhaye, i can write pages on the movie.what a movie adn what music.The Dadaji played by Madan puri, Rameshwari, and everyone involved, the Vamp i forget her name, all superb.And songs by Yesudas i suppose,

Khusisya hi khusiya, was one great song,with the reactuions of everyone involved,superb, as was Jagdeep as the naqli father.

Do u know Jagdeep is the father of Javed Jaffery.Jagdeep married again, a girl younger than his son, around 10 yrs back or so.HAHA.

What a superb style of writing!I thoroughly enjhoyed reading the post and also the titbit items you have provided about the various actors,like Reema Lagoo for instance,she is my favourite actor.I think she must be giving complex to the heroines who work with her.
I dont have the patience to sit through a movie for 3 hrs but this film'maine pyar kiya'I enjoyed watching.,lovely songs and good acting.
I and my daughters have made it actually a ritual to watch Sound of Music atleast once,when they are here.Now my daughter told me that my grand children,4 yrs old love to listen to the songs of that movie.

Maine pyar kiya is always close to my heart...and i own a DVD of it till now, and refresh myself whenever i feel like, i love the background score very much .to add on the list QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK , DIL, HUM APKAE HAIN KOUN , KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI ...........

i believe to be in my 5th or 6th std.....when the movie hit theaters.oh how young am i still now ......

Dor Re Me, I am Sixteen going on Seventeen, what lovelyu songs.

and the love affair between her and the Christopher Plummer, what a handsome guy, the chemistry was so good.
