Default Re: Why Die for Others

Dear Kamalji,

Great topic... I ensured that Shanthi has reached Muscat and she will not read this for sometime, before I reply to this... hahahaahaha...

Though I agree with you in todays world, there is no point going and fighting against corruption or any other bad things for the society... Nobody will come to support you... Because of fear... Everybody wants a saviour... But they dont want that saviour to be from their family or kith & kin... That is the pathetic situation... That includes me... Though I would love to fight for a social cause, My self interest is to take care of my family... If I am not there tomorrow, they are on the streets... which I would never ever want to happen...

In those days, Mahathma Gandhi and other freedom fighters came to the streets and fought for a noble cause, because the society, the people supported them... They stood by them... Where is the staunch support today....

I agree with DM, that we should not shun away to help others or fight for a cause... Whatever she refers is to save lives of the people from various natural calamity... In todays world, people are not even willing to take a accident hit man to the hospital and allow him to die on the roads...

Yes with regard to the families... I agree with you that all these people leave behind thier wife and children... Today where is Gandhi's kids and the family.... Where is VOC's children and Grand children... Does anybody know... We forgot them... If that is the status of such great personalities... What is that we are talking about small timers like people who fight against corruption and all....

Here I am not advocating that you should not help / fight against evil... I am just telling, if you have a family, family comes first... then the society...

This is my opinion...

Veda
