Soaring Spirit,

Interesting read, and not long at all.I indulge in unusual topics eh ! I posted this same one simultanously on another blog, and the response is the same, varied and tremendous.
I am a voracious reader, and wonder why men lose their lives, when it was not necessary, and leave behind greiving widows, all for some ideals ?

The Red channel thing u say well i always walk thru the green channel, never bother with the red one.

Not many people are aware of some new laws, which we must keep updating ourselves.
One is allowed duty free the following- between 2500 dollors in foreign currency, to 10,000 dollors( varies), a laptop, digital camera, projector. All these are by law.also 2 bottles of Whiskey, and 1 carton of ciggies.

And these officers harass u, that u are carrying dutible items.Bullshit.challenge them to see the Supervisior, and they back off immediately.

and every indian by law can keep in his house upto US $ 2000 in his house or carry with him anywhere.
But we are not aware of such things at times.

Like the holy book "Kural " says " Fight on yr own terms, at the place of yr choice, and at the time u choose to.

For example, 10 people cant win against an alligator in water, but tempt the alligator to thje dry land, and one person is enough to finish him.

Discreetion is the better part of valour as they say.

I would'nt like to die SS.I love life.Regards.kamal

Moonbeams,

So well said by you

" I wouldnt like to burn my house to light another's.Wow what to say really.

And waht u said about a soldier not leaving behind an enemy is also so true.it is in their line of duty to die for the country. They choose this risky job, sometimes for the lvoe of the country, as also for the money too.

when the army announces recruitments, for a few hundred jobs, lakhs unemployed youths turn up.They know the hazards of the job, so do their families.

Yes u have proved yr point wonderfully.Your thoughs are so clear Moonbeams.Thanks.regards.kamal

Dear Padma,

Yes everyone has to change.

For eg u see people peeing on the streets. For the people to stop, ther emust be adequate public toilets too which are not there. So what does one do ?

I remember many many years back, a friend of mine used to buy a movie ticket just to be able to do the big job in the loo inside, wasting 10 bucks those days.

But not everyone can afford that, so they will do here and there. As u say everyone including the govt has to come forward tolisten to the greviances, and everyone will fall in line.regards.kamal

Jaishree,

Roadside accidents .Well i will tell u of a real case , which happened int he USA.A n Indian rescued an American injured lady on the streets, and took her to hospital. She told them this man has knocked me down.He was a doctor, and got sued so badly he had to overnight leave the country and come to india penniless.

and here do u know what the police make u go thru if u take the accident victim to the hospital.the police and the Courts will make yr life miserable. And u dont even know if the person concerned will ever even thank u.Sad really the state of affairs.

Jessical Lall's case is similar to Scarlet case.Jessical was a society girl.what was she doing wearing those short clothes and serving liquor in an illegal bar? For the money.she was paid 1500 for the night, not bad for her.And this was not the first time she had done this at the Tamarind court.I dont blame anyone but herself. She was playing with fire.

Now answer me this. They want to keep lady bartenders now in bars. They wont be dressed as Sati Savitris for sure. And strangers comeingin to drink, will be thinking of them as easy prey and may make advances.Dont the girls know these are the hazards of the job, like an Army man knows he can lose his life to an enemy's bullet anytime ?????? So if anythign wrong happens, i wont have sympathy for the lady concerned.

The army is doing its job and is being paid for it Jaishree. No one is doingit for free.Regards.kamal

Hello kamalji
I do agree that army is got paid for their duty Yet the feeling of patroitism & to die for saving country's bourder & people cant be paid in form of money only.
Abt jessica lal I agree that what job she was doing was not very accepatable ( not at all to me personlly ) But than murder is murder wheather it was jessica lal or scarlet. Becoz they were doing a job not very much approved by society or that scarlet was indulged in drugs & has a charector which is not aproved by us doesnot mean that her murder ( ? ) could be justified. The people who are responsible for saving law were acting doubtfully in these case & if public exposed them ( as in jessica lal case ) is the example of such actions.
I was talking abt Road sidse romeos u can found in front of gaits of every college & in local trains & buses & so on and indulge in eve teasing if we close our eyes to them than may be next time victom may be some one we knew & wud grumble that nobody tried to interfere.
In case of raod side accedents now as per the supreme court saying - saving life is of utmost importance & the people informing or helping those persons are not harressed by law & police.

Few years back I remembered that a simple girl was thrown out by gunndas in front of whole coach in a local train in bombay , full of people & watching it I talk of such eepisodes If all people together had acted 2-3 people couldnt throw her out.
And when a person tries to save someone it is not a very calculative move but it happens on spur of moment & most of peopel even doesn't think of getting a thanku in return.
Yes when one fought with organized mafia or Terririst & or gundas shud weigh all the possibilities & shud not be rash in acting.

Jaishree,

I agree with u on all the points. No one deserves to be killed, not even a woman of easy virtue. But when u invite danger, like Scarlett, anything can happen, Jaishree. Thanks for yr kind comments.Kamal
