| hi friends, I missed out on a few episodes this week, here goes yesterday's.. April 11, 2008 Bhopal... Mrs. Bhagwati Parman and her husband, a couple working hard and living a simple life.. daily she makes food for a hundred persons before leaving for work. to whom does she serve this food? is it a commercial venture? no, not at all.. she goes to a playground and serves this food to the dogs and cats out there, nearly a hundred of them waiting patiently for her to arrive! A daily routine, this! She also lovingly bathes them and nurses them when any one of them is sick. They do not get any funds, both husband and wife are short on time and money and stamina after a whole day of work. But still they do this task tirelessly and selflessly. Mrs.Bhagwati gives her views: "Each and every space is occupied by man nowadays, be it land, rivers, forests, every inch man wants to make his own..then where will these poor creatures go? So I am just doing my bit to help them the way I can."

| 23 April 2008 Lucknow, KGM hospital, 2001. When Mrs. Geeta's child was sick in KGM hospital, she spent 40 days there caring for her. when there, she saw many poor people whose children were sick, and they want to treat them, but not able to do so for lack of funds. She started donating to whoever she could. when her daughter got well and came home, even then she continued doing going to the hospital to find out people who need money for their children's treatment or medicines and cannot afford it at all. Mrs.Geeta even started going to the slum areas to identify such people and help them whenever she could. As for collecting money, she used to ask around the common folk who are interested in helping such persons and collect some amount. Currently, she is on a task to collect Rs.1.25 lakhs for a 10 year old girl's heart surgery. She is even going out on the roads to ask people to contribute if they are willing to listen and be kind.

| Dear Hasita, It is such a wonderful gesture on your part to bring these inspiring deeds to our notice. Could you please let us know the time this program comes on ...I'm very keen to watch it .About the couple who feeds the strays I remember reading about them. ![]() All these generous human beings are really the unsung heroes and heroines of todays world where every body is rushing from one point to another with no time to think of the unfortunate. This train of thought reminded me of the beautiful way the Chennai ILites celebrated the 3rd anniversary of IL by visiting the GOOD LIFE CENTRE and donating and bringining cheer to those orphaned kids. ![]() ![]() warm regards PAULINA ![]() |

| Dear Mindian, That's really an extraordinary act! You must try to get this on the program I believe! I will confirm the email id for the program and send it to you. Maybe you can tell this story to them and they would follow it up. best, Hasita

| Dear Paulina, This 5-min program is aired daily on DD-national at ~2.00 p.m. (sometimes at 1.55 p.m.). Do check it out! If you do view any episode, do mention it here, as my DD transmission is bad these days, hence unable to post :( and other times not able to watch as too much work. I would like to know what I missed :) thanks, best, hasita

| 30 April, 2008 Indore - Deepak is a boy who is lame since he was 4 months old when he fell from the bed. The same is the story with Sakina - after she fell in school, she got serious injuries due to which she was unable to stand again or walk. They became dependent on others for simple day-to-day tasks. Into the picture came Dr.Sudhir Khidawat, a doctor who treats patients using Accupressure. Deepak and Sakina are among the many that Dr. Khidawat has treated. Thanks to him, both are now able to walk on their own! Dr.Khidawat says that Accupressure is a science which stimulates the nerve endings on the hands and feet of people. All the parts of the body have nerve endings in our hands and feet. So most diseases can be cured using this method. In addition to accupressure, Dr.Khidawat also uses Hypnosis to treat these patients. When he hypnotises them, he controls their mind telling it that "yes you can walk" and the patients repeat the same, thereby the brain is sending signals to that part of the body, for instance, the leg or the feet. The muscles slowly start getting activated and the patient starts believing that he can do it! This doctor has cured most patients using a combination of the two methods and they start walking!
