This Kid With Aids !

THIS KID WITH AIDS

The craving in the hungry eyes
The dry lips and the hoarse cries

The desperate feeling, needing protection
But all he gets, the poor kid is isolation

Born to a woman, once so strong with splendor
A lady with a force and full of vigour

Until the time, when she met a man so virile
He took her for a while, his love so infantile

She but was sure, that this man was he
With whom she would spend her life in glee

Oh later she knew that this was a prison,
She stepped in the wrong groove, as he was a treason

But couldn’t do much as his kid had taken life
Yes immorally though, she yet wasn’t his wife

She bought him into the world but the kid never saw her smile
He thought it will come surely though after a while

Alas but she knew now that soon she would cease
Her paramour had given her the dreaded disease

The stigma she faced killed her a millionth time
Take her away God, her life is like a crime

She passed away and ended her misery
But then the kid never knew now it would be he

So as the moments pass and await the final call
His tender life so empty had nothing to recall

He would have loved to play and be free
After all he was a kid and that’s what he wanted to be

But as he waited at the gate and spread out his hands
At least come now shouts his call while he still has a chance

This house full of kids, but only just cries
He wanted to be out twinkling like the stars in the skies

Touching and playing will not give you Aids
Infact it will let him live and smoothen life’s blades

If you ever meet a kid with Aids, don’t give a miss
Don’t worry instead go ahead and plant him a kiss

He would feel wanted and will wish to live
After all your love is all that he wants you to give.

Dear Friends,

Loving and playing with these children will not give anyone AIDS. These are innocent victims. Let us make up for the ill fate. Let our love provide some respite. My humble request to all!!

Yes this one was written with a message in mind. I recently met someone with AIDS and the pathetic state and the embarrasment and fear of this person , triggered this poem in me.I hope with so much love in the universe some can defintely be spared for those who require it the most!

Thankyou so much for the wonderful words. I just thought that as women we all can do something for a cause. I recently met someone and wanted to do something for this person and as you know the pen is mightier than the sword.So just wanted to spread the message of love for these Aids victims.
