I use it for only idlis.
May be Srini could explain more about for daily usage for eating rice.

How many cups of this long rice do you use for 1 cup dhal? Also is it like par boiled rice...i mean the consistency?

I Use the same ratio as other rice.
Infact you get more quantity when you grind it.

Hi Krithika,
For one glass of rice, I use one thrid of urad dhal for making idlis.
I use the same mix for idly and dosa.

There was strike her yesterday for the rise in price of the grocery items.........
The Government said in case you feel the prices are high don't buy the goods...........
I really feel pity for these lower class people.............

I am all worried is about poor people.....
Its too bad on the govt. so speak such things.
Govt. is suppose to provide the basics ameneties to the poor, if they don't what these poor people would do????

No dear it was here in Egypt........
They do provide roties to these people at a cheaper price say about 10 pestars but these people want for free that is what i have heard. And you know only roties are not enough for a person........

I agree... only rotis are not sufficient.
Here in US, they give food stamps where people can buy veggies, milk, egg, meat etc from the local stores.
