Sunkan Maam,
as u say, long distance travel by bus is a nightmare...my husband's native is about 6-7 hrs frm chennai, and it would be a horrible experience sitting in the bus restraining yourself....some restrooms are marginally better, but all the water all over the floor, and if its rainy, slush all around... even i used to stay away frm liquids before the journey starts...i simply refuse to travel by bus anymore....

well, as bhargavi says, our people have to be forced to do even something in their own interests, like banning cell phones while driving, or wearing helmets ...
its going to be ages before they realise the importance of such issues....

rgds,
sowpar

Dear mithila,
Thanks for ur feedback. As I again keep saying we can imbibe civic sense to our known members. But how far it is applicable, whether each and every individual in the society adhere to it is always a question mark and an eye wash.
When we go out,we can be perfect but how can we make others to be perfect?Hence I again say that the single powerful tool or weapon is enforcing strict rules and regulations.Yeah milthila, while we give utmost care for other rooms ,we concentrate less on wash rooms. But now, everybody is aware of the hygiene and sanitation in bathrooms especially the increasing preference of western toilets and attached bathrooms where in hygiene is a must.

Thank u once again mithila.

Dear meera,
Thanks a ton for ur feedback and appreciation.Nandshyam has given a complete scenario of unpleasant atmosphere in temples especially distributing prashadhams. It will be even more appreciating if u read nandshyam’s fb and my reply to it.Well said by you.We cannot pray without getting diverted to these things. While spiritual activities are given much importance ,the same is not completed by viewing the mismanagement and improper organization.
Definitely in other countries silly activities like littering, posting advertisements are not allowed. But meera only in this aspect India is lagging. As other ilites stated, public rest rooms in other countries are so well maintained.
Even in India there are various exhibitions and campaigns on garbage disposal, sewage treatment but only the application (result) is missing which other countries overtake us.
You are free to express here meera, which keeps the thread interesting.

Thank u once again meera.

Bhargavi,

Well said and this is seen everywhere.

Well were there enough bathrooms constructed by the temple authorities at the site ?Then only can u tell people what to do where.

But this is the sad state of affaiors everywhere.

Look at the Ganga. When u bathe in it, u will find, half burnt bodies floating next to you.Shame really.

Regards.kamal

Dear most sunkan mam,
Thanks for ur feedback and it is nice that I reminded you of the olden days.It is so irritating to see the hopeless condition of toilets whenever and wherever we travel .Definitely lack of hygiene in public toilets is the cause of diseases. You narrated ur experiences happened some years ago.You feel things would have changed (whether the pit ??Just joking…).Paid toilets are still more worser.I think miracles can happen in India except general hygiene ,sanitation, civic sense…..Oh I am going back again………

Thanks once again.Nice to hear ur flashback….my dear sunkan mam...

Dear Kamalji sir,
Thanks for ur feedback and I am really happy to see you here!!!!Definitely sir,so much of amount is spent by the authorities of the site to construct bathrooms but so sad there are still some educated and uneducated selfish persons who pay a deaf ear to these things.
Ganga is known for divinity, spirituality etc.But again it is really a shame and here starts the story once again sir……..

Thanks once again.
