International Pillow Fighting Day

Dear friends,

While we celebrate Spring in India by daubing each other in colors, elsewhere in parts of Europe, America and Canada, people celebrated International Pillow Fighting Day which fell on March 22, 2008.

Pillow fighting events are organized in several cities and people who participate are required to bring their own pillows and gather at a public place. Then everyone starts beating each other softly with their pillows. They are encouraged not to bring in hard pillows and keep their blows gentle and soft. Only blows from pillows are permitted, no fist blows.

On the lighter side, we can look at this as a stress buster. If you have a nagging boss or an authoritative in-law, take them along and bash them with the pillow. There will be no serious damage to them and you would have got your stress out in a gentle way. What say, friends?

why not start this type of day everyday before we go to sleep so that we are relived of our daily stress..but we should have pillows in stock...

It is an amazing feeling....believe me....of late my daughter comes up to me and says Mum lets have a pillow fight ..... and we have it often its fun.

I showed these pictures to her and told her " see , someone justed pinched our idea" just joking.......

But it is true we do have pillow fights thanks to my daughter ........it is fun.
