Question Bring Somebody as your Husband

Had been to this exhibition last month. there was a raffle in the entrance ticket.had entered it, forgot all about it after a week.

Then last week got a call from a lady. the conversation went like this...

"Mam, are you shanthi vyas"
"yes"
"Did you go to this exhibition...."
"yes.."
"you entered the raffle..."
"Yes........."
"Mam we are happy to inform that you won the raffle..."
"thanks.." (hmmmmmmmm, what was the prize...)
"Mam, you have got a family package to goa...."
"thanks.."
"You need to come to our office in T.Nagar to collect the prize..."
" ok..give me the address....."
" the address.......tnagar..."
"Do come with your husband...."
"My husband is out of town...."
"Madam but our rules say you have to come as a couple to take the prize..."
"But, my husband is not here, and this was not mentioned in the raffle...."
"............maaaaaaaam........what to do mam you confirm to me now if you will claim the prize..."
"I don't know..."
"mam, YOU CAN BRING SOMEBODY AS YOUR HUSBAND...."
"what........"
"No, it is a good package, why don't you bring somebody as your husband...."
By then my BP was northwards....
"Look, whoever you are, either you allow me to claim my prize as a family, with my kids and myself...or i don't want your package....please don't give me all the crap ideas..."
"Sorry madam...."
The call got disconnected.....

Even after the call was over, I was seething in anger...what has the world come over to...my friend said, you should have just claimed the prize as she says....., what would you have done....???

hi shanthi,

how are you? how is your health.

krithi is very happy with sankalp. a thousand thanks to you my friend.

these days its like this only, thats the trend. even some of the star hotels allow only couples for the new year parties. if a person is alone and is interested in these parties, they can bring somebody as their husband ......

but since we all were brought up with human values, ethics its difficult for us to digest.

Mmmmmmmmmm.............. This feels like so familiar...... Yeah, I keep on thinking about Krishna...Mahabharatha... so often. In Mahabharatha Thuriyodhana asked Tharuman to use his spouse in the game of gamble. Raffle is also a type of gambling - right? At least you are lucky that you felt the sudden shock and moved out of that. But still a lot of Mahabharatha happens in this world. The alluring side drag people slowly to this gambling - at the height of the illusion, some people put their Throupathy too in that gamble and loose. Out of them, some realize that they lost everything but still a lot of them don't realize that.

In Mahabharatha, Thuriyodhanan coveted for Pandavas' wealth. He could not able to understand Krishna and he asked only for Krishna's army instead of Krishna Himself. But Pandavas fought just for their rights. Pandavas could understand Krishna and they asked only for Krishna instead of His armies. (I should say Krishna let only the Pandavas to know Him). So it is very important not to be lured by these things. Here is one way to play the game in this world - If you like something, say, "Hey Krishna! if you are in that, I want that". If He is hiding in that, He would come. Otherwise, you would n't loose anything - right?

When I was young, some magicians used to come to the town. They seems to take out different things from apparently empty containers. The elders and teachers used to tell us that it was n't magic. There are a lot of trickery involved. And they would explain how the magician hide those things. If the magicians can bring some coins or other things from nothing, why can n't they keep on bringing money and use that for their living? What are the need for them to show their magic and charge us to make their living? This magic shows are going on now-a-days in a very grand scale. If something is free, why cann't they use it them self? So, there are some hidden expectations from their side. Suppose if someone fulfill that expectation while claiming the prize, the business ultimately gains - that means that someone loose if he/she claimed that prize without necessity. If that someone is clever/lucky and gains - I hope that it would work like Karma - that someone would pay the worth back in some way. Once I read some money management ideas. One of the rules said, "Do not buy anything unnecessary". How true it is...
