Default The Father Did Not Like The Bride

THE FATHER DID NOT LIKE THE BRIDE:

There was a lot of excitement in air, and finally I felt all my responsibilities coming to an end and here I am going to be a scott free mom of the decade, went announcing from roof top to who ever could listen to me, hey my daughter is planning to settle…

They said the guy was great, his sis in law been mad behind my daughter a difficult customer for anything even marriage, to reconsider the proposition for her brother in law who is great in so and so many things and so on..

Did we wait too long never mind, to day I am out of this swirl which took me to emotional rage I was not aware existed at this age, thought I am overboard and cool, but no it was a puncture to my ego to be treated the way the situation did.

I should say we are generously endowed and when the guy never minded we felt ok, he is looking at our personality and not the outer cover. The brainy lot that we are rather stay alone, than to be going as a door mat anywhere, all those business acumen in us would see us through any day…

When my son in law dropped to see the father of the groom, he had only to say he is not for this alliance, why? can you give us a cause when your son has approved, oh! I actually cannot place it, and went on to tell him how he selected a bride who is well endowed and how his bed life…is.

Now this was becoming too personal to chew, we just walked away and came to realize these people are in the habit of rejecting after the selection every where, poor guy going to be 40 soon and I can understand his predicament, any way my second one is just too thrilled to be let off, and never to think about it now…

You think father has a right to reject the bride after the son has selected…
Any answers anywhere….sunkan

Hi Sunkan
I think the son is under the control of the father. But the groom should have full right to choose his own bride, I don't think father should interfer here. Father's duty is to see if the family and people of the bride are good or not.
Yes I agree with kamalji if the broom is not given the right to choose his own bribe it is better he remain unmarried.

Sorry Sunkan
Thanks for correcting it. It is indeed a big mistake.
I was laughing at myself.

Sunkan,
As you had said that the boy is a soft spoken guy, he may not have any say in the house.
Maybe because of his father's decision each and every time he is still not yet married.
It shows your magnanimous side to feel for the boy.

Be happy that you guys knew about them before marriage!
This is itself a blessing in disguise!

Sunkan,

It is better not to marry such guys who have no spine of their own. Thank Heavens that you could know about him at this stage itself.

Aruna's broom and bribe typo was very humourous

hi sunkan,

Feeling sorry that your happiness on the impending marriage was shortlived, feeling a sigh of relief.."thank god they came to know before the marriage.."

Even at the age of 40 if he cannot come out from under his father's thumb and decide about his life, or standing for what he wants...i also feel sorry for him...

Chitra will meet her match .........

Take care.....
