A Whole Bread –crust And All

It was one of those active week-day mornings. He was getting ready to leave for work. I had planned to prepare a sandwich for him and took out 4 slices of bread. I started slicing the crust; something cut deep a cue into my mind. The bread was a food for my thoughts, not to my empty growling stomach, but to my growling mind.

What if life is a piece of bread or a loaf of bread ???? And crust cut or uncut?

Crust thought 1: We so often think that it’s those happy euphoric moments that keep us balanced and virtuous. But, we do not realize it’s the deplorable, distressing and our lamentable state that press us hard which helps us to be firm, strong and true hearted in our life. Imagine the bread being only the soft, tender, chewy and spongy texture without a crust. It will only make it lose its balance. The bread is squared up with crust to be crispy and crunchy. So, let’s not lose the chance to make our life crispy and crunchy with the crust of our hard times. Lets, be aplomb.

Crust thought 2: Why is it we so often condemn and criticize friends, kith and kin and anybody, when they don’t live up to our expectations? We want them to be obsequious to us. It’s because we are deep-rotted with the 3P’s to support our 1P. Yes, we have Predetermined, Presumed and Preset our Perception. And when we come across someone who negate and diverge from our 3P’s, we take to condemnation, disapprobation and even abomination. We have programmed our minds to :
If then accept and love else reject and foe; eventually we will be caught up in an infinite loop. We waffle to come out of our cynical and misanthropical reverie. Do we want only replicas of ourselves in the world(???), it will only make life dead as a dodo. Let’s stop being a noesis monomaniac.

Crust thought 3: We are not destined to take with us the possessions when we are on our life’s last procession. The only possessions we collect are the partaken good memories of our long life. What are the memories we savor when we are at the death’s door? It could be the day you won your school race, the day you secured high ranks, the day you bought your first house, the day you got your child, it could be the anything which would curve your lips upwards longer. The materialistic possessions are a steal compared to our memories. Let’s start collecting hoards of happy memories before it’s a day late and a dollar short. Happiness and contentment can be found in every quotidian event of our life.

Oh My God! I have completely forgotten to prepare the sandwich. I haven’t even cut the crust. Well, let me not cut it. After all, the crust brought values and uprightness to my dense and obtuse sense. And I prepared my breakfast of sandwich with Crust and All.

So you learn the value of the sponge only because of the crust...the same goes for life...


thought 2.. It is true..all relationships will be great if forget the 3Ps. I follow a simple theory you accept the person along with his -ve and +ve..because of which he is unique...learn to adapt the good and avoid the -ve...in my practice....

thought 3 ....I feel life is short and sweet ...just like the bread..the shelf value is very low...so enjoy and cherish and make memories....good ones..for yourself and also for people around.....my motto......

I always though when people slice the bread for sandwhich, they will think of what veg/iem to stuff inbetween.... But where from the philosophy's started coming in........ My better half is already in this..... Oooops....... Now I got it.....

Life is too short.... Let us enjoy and take things as they come... Emotions comes to us naturally... As long as our emotional actions do not hurt or offend others let us enjoy..........

thanks. Life is too short when we are young and it becomes too long when we are old(i mean crossing 80+). My great grand mother, she wishes she could meet her end, but can't. Its a pity what life has in store for all of us. Nobody knows. i tend to become very philosophical about things around me when i work. Glad you liked it.

I agree with you... I have both Grandmothers.. Fathers mother and mothers mother... But my mom is no more... My mom suffered a lot before she passed away... I know how difficult it will be for the parents to see that they live and see their kids passing away... That time, life will be looking too long...

Yes, Nobody knows what is in store for us... Please dont even think of knowing the future... Life will be more miserable when you know.... It is better we dont know... so atleast the uncertainity will kindle our hopes and makes us to take so efforts....

Being Philosophical is ok... But at the same time my concept is enjoy life....
